EPICUREAN Designing to bring out personality. It was the perfect moment. Interest in home entertaining and cooking was high. Sustainability had become the norm. People were realizing that household tools could bring fun to the work of the home. Enter the intuitive, design-savvy entrepreneurs behind Epicurean, also the team behind Loll modern outdoor furniture. (Though you would never know based on the branding of the two.) In business nearly 10 years, they were setting standards for premier cutting boards and kitchen utensils. With reflection, the Epicurean team realized you don’t have to have serious (a.k.a. boring) brand design, just because you have seriously good product. And so the design evolved to present a fun, multi-faceted personality. The brand language was created to segment product offerings and make the shopping experience easier as well.
