B LO O M I N G T O N CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU Definitive design. There are nearly 1500 convention authorities and visitor bureaus in the United States. Three Midwestern states have a city named Bloomington to promote— Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota. Minnesota’s Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau needed to establish a brand to set them apart as a destination, while eliminating confusion. The brand needed to instantly communicate Bloomington’s central location within Minnesota as well as its proximity to the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The result is a design that is uniquely Bloomington, Minnesota. It provides a framework for communicating all the city has to offer, and it presents this Bloomington as a hospitable event-host city for conventions and a viable consideration for family travel.
