Team Dudley Sport Newsletter Issue 1 – November 2010
Team Dudley – Sport for the next generation Welcome to the first edition of our newsletter. In July 2010 we launched Team Dudley Sport. This is a brand new concept which incorporates all of our sport development programmes here at Dudley College. The idea has been born from developing our own senior football club that compete in the West Midlands Regional League and as sport goes from strength to strength we wanted a brand that everyone in the region can identify with and associate Dudley College to. I hope you enjoy our first newsletter – more editions will follow in the New Year but in the meantime stay updated through our new look website www.teamdudley.co.uk Yours in Sport Simon King – Team Dudley Sports Development Manager

New football facility unveiled As part of the commitment to Sport and the football development programme, Dudley College has invested £30,000 in to the Dell Stadium. The College has had another purpose built pitch installed with full size portable goals to aid training. Head Coach of the football programme Stewart Holmes is delighted with the facility as are the students. “The College and Council have worked really hard to get this facility ready for the 2010 season. Both the College teams and Team Dudley senior team have been regularly using the pitch and the players have been particularly complimentary of the playing surface. It is great to have the grass pitch alongside the astro turf and means we have the opportunity to do some quality sessions with all of the football teams.”
