Laguna National Golf & Country Club to its prestigious ‘Platinum Clubs of the World 2018-19’.

profile accolade and, at the same time, humbled as we know we still have much work to do to achieve our global ambitions.

This is a distinction that is bestowed upon only 100 clubs in the world each time the forum evaluates and elects new members. Needless to say, we are very proud to accept this high

One of the characteristics about this award which appeals most to us is the criteria on which it is based and the extremely high pedigree of the Advisory Board who vote and select the winners.

Laguna National Golf & Country Club was evaluated on the 6 selection criteria, namely; • Universal recognition of the Club • Excellence in amenities and facilities • Professional service levels and overall experience • Quality of the Membership • Professional management and governance • Adapting to changing times Furthermore, the list is populated with a Who’s Who of the most recognised clubs in the world, including Augusta National, Baltusrol Golf Club, Ocean Reef Club and Winged Foot Golf Club. Being recognised alongside peers on the list such as Augusta National, Pine Valley Golf Club, Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, St Andrews, Merion, Royal Melbourne, Muirfield, Sunningdale and Winged Foot Golf Club (all in the top20 on the 2018-19 edition of the award) is to be celebrated

and embraced. On one hand it demonstrates the improvements we are making. On the other hand, it is daunting because not only do we need to maintain such standards, but strive to move upwards on the list amongst extremely tough competition. Finally, none of this would be possible without the support of our ownership and the significant daily contributions of our staff. Many of them go unseen, while others are highly visible whenever you visit the club. Regardless, such honours are unattainable without their dedication and efforts. I encourage you to look out for our award plaque and the listing of the Top 100 Clubs, which is hanging at the entrance to The Nest. It makes for enjoyable reading and will engender a feeling of pride in your heart.
