Bleachers is an American indie pop act based in New York City that was formed by Jack Antonoff, of Steel Train and Fun. Bleachers slick and emotional pop music is heavily influenced by the ‘80s and the high school-based films of John Hughes while still using modern production techniques. His first single, “I Wanna Get Better”, was released February 18, 2014. After their debut sell out London show at Bush Hall in February, the latest musical project from Jack Antonoff will call at Dingwalls on May 12, before launching the debut album with shows at Glasgow’s Garage on July 5 and Manchester Academy on July 6. Bleachers will be coming to Glasgow’s Garage on July 5.

Following a sell-out run at The Watermill Theatre in Newbury Calamity Jane has embarked on a national UK tour coming to the King’s Theatre Glasgow from Tuesday 16 until Saturday 20 June 2015. Calamity Jane stars Jodie Prenger in the title role, Tom Lister as Wild Bill Hickok, Alex Hammond as Danny and Phoebe Street as Katie Brown. Calamity Jane can outrun and outshoot any man in Deadwood. Hard, boastful and desperate to impress, she travels to Chicago to recruit a star, Adelaide Adams, for the Deadwood Stage. But things don’t go too smoothly for Calamity, as everyone in town favours the new girl and she struggles to keep her jealousy and pride in check. Puttin’ On The Ritz takes you on a
musical journey with wonderful music from three legendary composers, Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin. Songs in the show will include Cheek to Cheek, Alexander’s Rag Time Band, Birth of the Blues, Swanee, Night and Day, I Got Rhythm, Easter Parade, and Puttin’ On The Ritz.
