The Book Fair.
The Book Fair starts today and will end Sept 18th. You may come visit in the library during Open House tonight! Please contact Miss Myers if you can volunteer or if you have any questions.
Limeades for Learning Sonic and DonorsChoose.org are working together to support public school classrooms. During September, when someone buys any drink at Sonic, they are able to go online and vote for their favorite teacher’s classroom project. Mrs. Sharp has entered a project, and she needs your votes. Please send your Sonic drink coupon to the school or else vote for her project on-line. Thank you!
Parents Needed We desperately need parent volunteers for the library! Please contact Miss Myers if you can volunteer any time at all. We also need volunteers to help with lunch and recess duty. Please contact the office if you can help. Thank you!
Counselor’s Corner Dear Parents: I teach Character Education each week to every class in our school for one 45 minute class period. I teach 9 principles throughout the year. This month I’m teaching about Kindness. October is Courage. After that the monthly principles are: self-control, forgiveness, respect, diligence, loyalty, honesty, and confidence. I will typically read the students a story about the topic, we will discuss it as a class, then we will do an activity or play a game involving the principle. As always, if I can be of any assistance to you or your child, please do not hesitate to contact me. My email is: email@example.com. Lisa Wright, School Counselor

We have students who are visiting rather than eating during lunch, then throwing away the majority of their meal. Others are purchasing hot cheetos to eat rather than eating their meal for lunch. Please discuss the importance of eating a healthy lunch with your child. Thank you.
