In this unit fifth graders will learn how to convert units of measurement in Math. Fifth graders need to know how to convert units of measurement in the real world to be able to do every day activities and function in society. Energy is something that is a part of every aspect of our daily lives. In this unit fifth grade students will acquire the differences between the types of energy and why they are important to our everyday existence. This unit focuses on comparing and contrasting different forms of literature. Sixth graders must develop the ability to recognize information portrayed through different forms or genres presented to them, in order to grasp topics at hand. In this sixth grade unit plan, student will have the opportunity to explore different methods and strategies to understand the number system. It is important that students learn the similarities and differences of both positive and negative real numbers. In this unit sixth grade students will be learning about interdependence in science. Sixth grade students need to learn more in depth about interdependence in science to have a strong understanding that all life is interdependent and interacts with the environment.
