The features that particularly drew me to the building were the tall and very deeply corbelled chimneys and the unusual stone arched window and door surrounds. Having decided on my subject matter the next task was to convert as much of the information as I could from the photographs onto templates from which the building would be fabricated. I didn’t use any fancy software for this, just the ‘Draw’ facility within Microsoft Office and an Excel spreadsheet with a 2mm grid.
