Once the coal bunker is off the metal weight should be pulled out in a forward movement, it is just a loose press fit.
The next step is to remove the half round shape from the moulded coal, I used a sharp pair of sprue cutters, and you donâ€™t need to go to close, just remove it out of the way.
Using the sprue cutters or a knife, whichever you feel most comfortable with, remove as much of the plastic coal from the bunker as you can. I will normally stay about 1-2 mm away from the edges. Take care not to damage any of the bunker sides or back. Remove small pieces at a time as this will stop any distortion to the sides and back resulting in damage to the paint work.
