Finding items in the library with LibrarySearch LibrarySearch is able to search for physical items held both in the Drill Hall and Templeman Library. As a Medway student most of the books required for your course are held in the Drill Hall Library and you should therefore search for these first. Enter your Search terms and then refine your results by clicking on Drill Hall Library under Library on the right-hand side of the page. LibrarySearch will now only show items held in the Drill Hall Library. To determine availability and find out where the item is in the Drill Hall Library click on Details and then ‘This item in the library catalogue’ under Links on the right hand side of the next page. This will take you to the Drill Hall Library Catalogue where you can see how many copies are available and the shelfmark which you will need to find the item in the Drill Hall.
If the item you require is out on loan, you can reserve a copy by clicking on ‘Reserve this item’, logging-in using your user ID and password and clicking reserve. We will email you when the item is available for collection from the Drill Hall.
Ordering books from the Templeman Library If the book or item that you require is not part of the Drill Hall Library collection you should check LibrarySearch to see whether it is available from the Templeman Library. Enter your Search terms, click Search Everything. Refine your results by clicking Templeman Library under Library on the right hand side of the page. To request a book or item to be delivered to the Drill Hall for you to collect, click on Details and then Request Delivery to the Drill Hall Library under Links on the right hand side of the page. Complete the Inter-site loan form and click Submit. We will email you when your item arrives at the Drill Hall and is ready for you to collect.
