Message from CN Team At the outset we would like to express our gratitude for all the kind words of appreciation, received for the re launch of our Corporate Networking newsletter and the response was truly encouraging. Spurred by this, we would like to take this opportunity to share lots of insights about employers, feedback we receive, partnerships, trends, new openings etc, month after month and will ensure that the newsletter is one monthly issue that you will look forward to read it. Welcome Aboard to Our New Panel Employers INOX Movies: It is India’s largest Entertainment House and currently operates 73 multiplexes in 39 cities across the country. INOX offers wholesome entertainment to moviegoers. They have a huge requirement of manpower for billing staff, customer care representative etc.
Fortune Murali Park : It is a 5 star luxurious hotel in Vijayawada, the third largest city of Andhra Pradesh which will help us cater to Hospitality aspirants . They have requirements for F&B, (service & production) departments. Hotel Green Park : It is a 5 star hotel and housing facility at ISB – Indian School of Business, Hyderabad . They have requirements for housekeeping & service departments which will help us cater to hospitality aspirants. For outstation aspirants, the hotel provides food & accommodation facility as well. Domino’s Pizza : We have signed a partnership for recruitments with Jubilant Food Works which hold the exclusive rights for operating Domino’s Pizza and Dunkin Donuts brand across the country. Domino’s Pizza is fastest growing food chain has 602 stores and Dunkin Donuts has 16 restaurants across the country. There are ample opportunities for customer service staff and managers.
Welspun India Limited: Welspun has a diversified manufacturing base with its core facilities in Anjar, Gujarat. They have requirements for machine operators or technicians, HR executives, data entry operators and many other positions.
We would like you to get in touch with the Corporate Networking team and Regional placement cells for assisting the aspirants in getting placement opportunities with these employers.
In close coordination with Operations and center teams, the Corporate Networking department aided in conducting job fairs in Chennai & Hyderabad. The main objective was to have a common platform for the unemployed youth to interact with the employers in order to receive employment opportunities.
A dream is just a dream. A goal is a dream with a plan and a deadline. We are very pleased to launch a job portal exclusively for the alumni of Dr. Reddy’s Foundation. Through this website we would like to give our alumni a platform to access better job opportunities and enhance their career prospects. The job opportunities displayed on the website are not entry level opportunities. It caters to positions which require work experience of preferably 6 months and above. The job profiles would range from Supervisors, Teamleaders, Associate Managers, Managers etc.. We request the center teams, placement executive’s, RPC’s to be well informed about this initiative taken towards our alumni. 4 CN team has facilitated a TOT for ITES, BPO facilitators from east & central zone in collaboration with Intel.
This has helped the facilitators in learning smart and easy ways to train our aspirants in computers. We acknowledge the center teams, Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Zonal Manager (East & Central Zone) for his active support provided for the training program.
In collaboration with Taj Group of Hotels & Resorts, we have successfully completed the training of first batch of Hospitality domain with 16 aspirants, in Secunderabad Center. The candidates were sent for an OJT at Taj Hotels , Hyderabad . All the aspirants would be appearing for an exam under Hunar Se Rozgar Scheme after which they shall receive certificates by IHM and Taj Group of Hotels. Aspirants who attended OJT Program at Taj group of Hotels.
Coming together is a beginning, Keeping together is progress, and Working together is success.
We would like to share with you the feedback received from some of our notable employers during the interviews with our aspirants. The idea of sharing the feedback is to help understand the rejection of our aspirants during the interview process which will help us in strengthening the training process .
Shoppers Stop – The HR team from Shoppers Stop stated that aspirants who had participated in the interview process were rejected due to poor English speaking skills. They could not express themselves properly when they were asked to communicate on aspects of customer service etc.
Inox Multiplex - During the interview process at Inox, aspirants could not understand computer related queries for example how would you copy and paste a certain data/document. When the question “Tell me about yourself” was posed to the candidates, it was found that all the candidates gave the same answer and it looked like they had mugged up the sentences.
Devyani International – Employer shared that the major concern is some of the aspirants could not even read the Menu properly, When prompted to read the newspaper the candidates could not read a single word correctly in English. The suggestions received was to train the candidates majorly in improving their confidence levels by involving them to open up during the classroom sessions like talking to an audience, participating in group discussions etc.
We acknowledge Mr.Swapan Kundu (Regional Placement Cell, East & Central Zone) & his team for empanelling Inox Multiplex which will result in pan India placements, and also teams of Vishakapatnam & Vijayawada in empanelling Panel Employers for Hospitality domain. We also would like to acknowledge Mr. Anand Mayan(Assistant Manager-Tamilnadu) and his teams on conducting a Job fair at Chennai successfully .
