We have a nursery available for children 3 and under. Children 4 to 6 years of age may be dismissed to Godly Play prior to the sermon. Thank you for joining us today and may the Lord richly bless you.
Leader: Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody!
Song of Assembly1 Agnus Dei
Alleluia, Alleluia. For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Alleluia, Alleluia. For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Alleluia, Holy, Holy, are You Lord God Almighty. Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb, You are Holy, Holy, are You Lord God Almighty Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb. Amen.
People: With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord! Leader: Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it!
People: Anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
People: Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together!
Leader: You shall not steal.
Leader: Let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth!
People: For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery... theft... These are what make a man “unclean.”
People: He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity!
People: For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks... for by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.
Hymn of Praise
Leader: You shall not covet.
All creatures of our God and King, Lift up your voice and with us sing, alleluia, alleluia! Thou burning sun with golden beam, Thou silver moon with softer gleam, O praise Him, O praise Him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
Welcome and Preparation for Worship To honor is to show deference toward parents, because they are placed over children and therefore deserve respect. This deference can be expressed in various ways. Rachel addressed her father with the phrase “my lord” (Gen.31:35), and Solomon bowed down before his mother... although by that time he had become king (1 Kings 2:19). Among us things are not so formal, but we may still expect children to show deference to their parents by their language and forms of address. Children must let their parents speak first, answer respectfully, be quiet when parents are speaking to them, say “thank you” when they receive something from them, and the like. - Jochem Douma
Thou rushing wind that art so strong, Ye clouds that sail in heav’n along, O praise Him, alleluia! Thou rising moon in praise rejoice, Ye lights of evening, find a voice, O praise Him, O praise Him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia! Let all things their Creator bless, And worship Him in humbleness, O praise Him, alleluia! Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son, And praise the Spirit, Three in One, O praise Him, O praise Him, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
We Recite the Law of God Responsively3 Leader: You shall have no other gods before me.

Summoned by the King
People: It stands written: “Worship the LORD your God and serve Him only.” Leader: You shall not make for yourself an idol. People: God is Spirit, and his worshipers must worship in Spirit and in truth. Leader: You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
Leader: Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!
People: Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is His footstool. ... Let your “Yes” be “Yes” and your “No” be “No;” anything more than these comes from the evil one.
People: His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him!
Leader: Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.
Leader: The Lord has made known his salvation; People: He has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
People: The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.
Leader: He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel.
Leader: Honor your father and your mother.
People: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
People: For God said, “Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.”

Prayer of Adoration & Praise
All Creatures of Our God and King Francis of Assisi
So Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him on behalf of Adonijah. And the king rose to meet her and bowed down to her. Then he sat on his throne and had a seat brought for the king’s mother, and she sat on his right.... And the king said to her, “Make your request, my mother, for I will not refuse you.” - 1 Kings 2:19,20
Leader: You shall not commit adultery.
The congregational response to each of the Ten Commandments is taken from the words of the Lord Jesus Christ as recorded in the Gospels.
People: Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.
Forgiven by the King We Confess Our Sin Together
Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. …Silent and Personalized Confession of Sin… Amen!
God Declares Our New Standing
2 Corinthians 5:21
For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Our Great God
I have built an altar where I worship things of man, I have taken journeys that have drawn me far from You. Now I am returning to Your mercies ever flowing, Pardon my transgressions, help me love You again.
Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God! Hallelujah! Glory be to our great God!
I have longed to know You and Your tender mercies, Like a river of forgiveness ever flowing without end. I bow my heart before You in the goodness of Your presence, Your grace forever shining like a beacon in the night.
Be Unto Your Name
Lord, we are weak and frail, helpless in the storm. Surround us with Your angels, hold us in Your arms. Our cold and ruthless enemy, his pleasure is our harm. Rise up, O Lord, and he will flee before our sov’reign God.
We are a moment, You are forever, Lord of the Ages, God before time; We are a vapor, You are eternal, Love everlasting, reigning on high.
Let every creature in the sea and every flying bird; Let every mountain, every field and valley of the earth; Let all the moons and all the stars in all the universe Sing praises to the living God who rules them by His word.
Holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Worthy is the Lamb Who was slain; Highest praises, honor and glory Be unto Your Name, be unto Your Name.

Lord, I Lift Your Name on High
You came from Heaven to earth to show the way; From the earth to the cross, my debt to pay. From the cross to the grave, from the grave to the sky; Lord, I lift Your name on High.
Pastor Steve Coward
…Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Just as God called us into His presence at the beginning, so now He commands His blessing upon us as we depart. We look up and extend our hands in a posture of thanksgiving as we receive this great gift. Our final response to God’s assurance of His peace and presence upon those who are in Christ is a chorus of joyful song.
