Hymn of Praise Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing

Come, Thou fount of ev‟ry blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace; Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above; Praise His name, I‟m fixed upon it, name of God‟s redeeming love. Hither to Thy love has blest me; Thou hast bro‟t me to this place; And I know Thy hand will bring me safely home by Thy good grace. Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God; He, to rescue me from danger, bought me with His precious blood. O to grace how great a debtor daily I‟m constrained to be! Let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wand‟ring heart to Thee: Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love; Here‟s my heart, O take and seal it; seal it for Thy courts above.

Confession of Faith

Hebrews 1:3-4

Guys: His body the bread (Girls: Echo) Guys: His blood the wine (Girls: Echo) All: Broken and poured out all for love The whole earth trembled and the veil was torn Love so amazing love so amazing

(Jesus) is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

All our hope is in You All our hope is in You All the glory to You God The Light of the world

Fairest Lord Jesus; ruler of all nature, O Thou of God and man the Son. Thee will I cherish; Thee will I honor, Thou my soul‟s glory, joy, and crown.

Welcome and Preparation for Worship “This is what faith obtains of the Lord at the present hour: her prayer is heard, and things impossible to herself are wrought by divine power. Spiritually and symbolically, the mountain is removed. Literally, at this hour the mountain stands, but faith finds a way round it, through it, or over it; and so in effect removes it.... In the mission field, mountains of exclusiveness which shut out missionaries are removed. In ordinary life, insurmountable difficulties are graciously dissolved. In a variety of ways, before real faith hindrances disappear, according to the word of the Lord Jesus.” - C.H. Spurgeon “...if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, „Move from here to there‟ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” - The Lord Jesus

Call to Worship2

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Fairest Lord Jesus

Fair are the meadows; fairer still the woodlands, Robed in the blooming garb of spring. Jesus is fairer; Jesus is purer, Who makes the woeful heart to sing. Beautiful Savior! Lord of the nations! Son of God and Son of man! Glory and honor, praise, adoration, Now and forevermore be Thine!

Call to Confession of Sin

Psalm 51:1-13

Leader: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; People: According to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. Leader: Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, People: And cleanse me from my sin! Leader: For I know my transgressions, People: And my sin is ever before me. Leader: Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, People: So that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Leader: Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, People: And in sin did my mother conceive me. Leader: Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, People: And you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Leader: Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; People: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Leader: Let me hear joy and gladness; People: Let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Leader: Hide your face from my sins, People: And blot out all my iniquities. Leader: Create in me a clean heart, O God, People: And renew a right spirit within me. Leader: Cast me not away from your presence, People: And take not your Holy Spirit from me. Leader: Restore to me the joy of your salvation, People: And uphold me with a willing spirit. Leader: Then I will teach transgressors your ways, ALL: And sinners will return to you. Silent and Personalized Confession of Sin… Amen!

Assurance of Pardon in Christ

2 Samuel 12:13

David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.”

Worship with Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs My Faith Has Found a Resting Place 2 Samuel 12:5a,7a

“...David‟s anger was greatly kindled against the man, and he said to Nathan, „As the LORD lives, the man who has done this deserves to die....‟ Nathan said to David, „You are the man!‟”

My faith has found a resting place from guilt my soul is freed I trust the Everliving One, His wounds for me shall plead. I need no other argument I need no other plea, It is enough that Jesus died, and that He died for me. Enough, for me that Jesus saves, this ends my fear and doubt, A sinful soul I come to Him, He'll never cast me out. My heart is leaning on the Word, the written Word of God, Salvation by my Savior‟s name, salvation through His blood. My great Physician heals the sick, the lost He came to save; For me His precious blood he shed, for me His life he gave.

All songs used by permission or covered under CCLI license # 391165. We believe that God always initiates with sinners, so we begin worship with his invitation and command to us to gather in His name. 2

We Fall Down

The blood that cleanses every stain of sin, Shed for you: drink and remember He drained death‟s cup that all may enter in To receive the life of God. So we share in this Bread of Life, And we drink of His sacrifice, As a sign of our bonds of grace Around the table of the King.

We fall down, we lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus, The greatness of mercy and love at the feet of Jesus. And we cry holy, holy, holy We cry holy, holy, holy We cry holy, holy, holy is the Lamb.

Prayers of Thanksgiving & Petition

Pastor Tommy Lee

…Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

And so with thankfulness and faith we rise To respond: and to remember. Our call to follow in the steps of Christ As His body here on earth. As we share in His suffering, We proclaim: Christ will come again! And we‟ll join in the feast of heaven Around the table of the King.

LXI. Our Story

Matthew 17:14-20

We Are the Body of Christ

One heart, one Spirit, one voice to praise You, We are the body of Christ. One goal, one vision, to see You exalted, We are the body of Christ. And to this we give our lives To see You glorified.

The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper A Word About Communion - The bread and juice you see on the Communion table may not look like much to the casual observer. In fact, it is merely bread and juice. What makes this meal special is that the Lord Jesus Christ is spiritually present in a unique way. This sacrament is not something to be taken lightly but neither is it a time to be somber; rather, we should be filled with thankfulness and joy. Our Savior, out of His great mercy, bids His people to come to this meal. If you are a member of a church who embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are at peace with your fellow Christians, we welcome you to this table. Come and consider with us our Lord‟s body and shed blood symbolized in the bread and juice. Rejoice with us in our union with Him and with each other as His Covenant people.

Behold The Lamb

Numbers 6:24-26

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

One heart, one Spirit, one voice to praise You, We are the body of Christ. We are the body of Christ.

Behold the Lamb who bears our sins away, Slain for us: and we remember The promise made that all who come in faith Find forgiveness at the cross. So we share in this Bread of Life, And we drink of His sacrifice, As a sign of our bonds of peace Around the table of the King. The body of our Savior, Jesus Christ, Torn for you: eat and remember The wounds that heal, the death that brings us life, Paid the price to make us one. So we share in this Bread of Life, And we drink of His sacrifice, As a sign of our bonds of love Around the table of the King.

4, 5, & 6 year-old children may be dismissed before the sermon to Godly Play in room 173.

Just as God called us into His presence at the beginning, so now He commands His blessing upon us as we depart. We look up and extend our hands in a posture of thanksgiving as we receive this great gift. Our final response to God‟s assurance of His peace and presence upon those who are in Christ is a chorus of joyful song.
