We have a nursery available for children 3 and under. Children 4 to 6 years of age may be dismissed to Godly Play prior to the sermon. Thank you for joining us today and may the Lord richly bless you.

Song of Assembly1

Psalm 66:1-5

Shout for joy to God, all the earth; sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.

Prayer of Adoration & Praise Hymn of Praise

You Are God Alone

Come, Christians, Join to Sing

You are not a god Created by human hands You are not a god Dependant on any mortal man You are not a god In need of anything we can give By Your plan, that’s just the way it is You are God alone From before time began You were on Your throne Your are God alone And right now In the good times and bad You are on Your throne You are God alone You’re the only God Whose power none can contend You’re the only God Whose name and praise will never end You’re the only God Who’s worthy of everything we can give You are God And that’s just the way it is

Come, Christians join to sing, Alleluia! Amen! Loud praise to Christ our King; Alleluia! Amen! Let all, with heart and voice, before His throne rejoice; Praise is His gracious choice, Alleluia! Amen!

The Gospel Is True

Psalm 119:129-133,135

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet And a light unto my path; Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet And a light unto my path.

To pray “Thy Kingdom Come” is searching and demanding, for one must be ready to add, “and start with me; make me your fully obedient subject.” Made sincerely, this is a prayer that the Savior, who calls us to self-denial and cross-bearing and consent that one’s life be lost one way or another in serving the gospel, may have His way with us completely. Do we really think this? Have we faced it? Let every man examine himself, and so, only so, let him say the Lord’s Prayer. - J.I. Packer

Thank you, Jesus, Oh how we worship You. Thank You, Jesus. Hallelujah, the gospel is true. Hallelujah, the gospel is true.

Amazing grace! How sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me! And I once was lost, but now I’m found, Was blind, but now I see so clearly. Hallelujah! Grace like rain falls down on me. Hallelujah! And all my stains are washed away, They’re washed away.

2 Samuel 22:28-29

You save a humble people, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down. For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness.

We have a grace that’s amazing; a free gift to know Him by faith, To live for His praise and long for the day, when we see Him face to face.

Grace Like Rain

I will not forget Your love for me and yet, My heart forever is wandering; Jesus be my Guide, hold me to Your side, And I will love You to the end.

Call to Confession of Sin

We have a hope that is living and love that never will end. We have a God who’s forgiven us while we were yet in sin.

We have been crucified with Him, buried and risen to life. Now justified, soon glorified, we shall be made like Christ.

When I feel afraid, think I’ve lost my way, Still You’re there right beside me; And nothing will I fear as long as You are near, Please be near me to the end

Welcome and Preparation for Worship

Colossians 2:13-14

Worship with Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs

Your testimonies are wonderful; therefore my soul keeps them. The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple. I open my mouth and pant, because I long for your commandments. Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is your way with those who love your name. Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me. Make your face shine upon your servant, and teach me your statutes.

Unchangeable Unshakable Unstoppable That’s what You are

People: But we, O LORD, have been a stiff-necked people who love unfaithfulness. We have loved other gods before you and become their servants. We have not worshipped you in spirit and in truth, and so we have mocked your glory in heaven. We have used your name in vain and profaned your reputation on earth. We have desecrated your Sabbath because we have not trusted you to give us rest. We have not honored our fathers and mothers, and so we have proved ourselves rebels. We have hated our neighbors and murdered them in our hearts. We have made adulterers of ourselves in the lust of our eyes or in the deeds of our flesh. We have stolen honor and wealth and privileges that are not ours. We have lied and falsely accused for we love gossip more than truth. We have coveted blessings you wisely and righteously gave to others. O LORD, have mercy on us for we have not kept your law.

And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Praise yet our Christ again, Alleluia! Amen! Life shall not end the strain; Alleluia! Amen! On heaven's blissful shore, His goodness we’ll adore, Singing forevermore, Alleluia! Amen!

Thy Word

Leader: O LORD, our God who brought his people out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery and by Christ delivered us from sin, you have been faithful to keep all the promises of your covenant.

Assurance of Pardon in Christ

Come, lift your hearts on high, Alleluia! Amen! Let praises fill the sky; Alleluia! Amen! He is our Guide and Friend; to us He’ll condescend; His love shall never end, Alleluia! Amen!

Confession of Faith

Corporate Confession of Sin

We believe that God always initiates with sinners, so we begin worship with his invitation and command to us to gather in His name.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, And grace my fears relieved; How precious did that grace appear The hour I first believed. When we’ve been there ten thousand years, Bright shining as the sun, We’ve no less days to sing Your praise Than when we first begun.

Take My Life

Glorify Thy Name

Take my life and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to Thee; Take my moments and my days, Let them flow in endless praise; Take my hands and let them move At the impulse of Thy love. Take my feet and let them be Swift and beautiful for Thee;

Jesus, we love You, We worship and adore You, Glorify Thy name in all the earth. Glorify Thy name, Glorify Thy name, Glorify Thy name in all the earth!

Take my voice and let me sing, Always, only for my King. Take my lips and let them be Filled with messages from Thee; Take my silver and my gold, Not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use Every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

Father, we love You, We worship and adore You, Glorify Thy name in all the earth. Glorify Thy name, Glorify Thy name, Glorify Thy name in all the earth!

Spirit, we love You, We worship and adore You, Glorify Thy name in all the earth. Glorify Thy name, Glorify Thy name, Glorify Thy name in all the earth!

Here am I, all of me. Take my life, it’s all for Thee.

2 Corinthians 13:14 How Great Is Our God

How great is our God Sing with me How great is our God And all will see how great How great is our God

Take my will and make it Thine, It shall be no longer mine; Take my heart, it is Thine own, It shall be Thy royal throne. Take my love, my Lord, I pour At Thy feet its treasure store; Take myself and I will be Ever, only, all for Thee.

Prayers of Thanksgiving & Petition Offering Sermon3 Pastor Rob Bailey Series: “Come to me… and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28)

LIX. Jesus’ Pattern, and Ours Matthew 17:1-13 The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper A Word About Communion - The bread and juice you see on the Communion table may not look like much to the casual observer. In fact, it is merely bread and juice. What makes this meal special is that the Lord Jesus Christ is spiritually present in a unique way. This sacrament is not something to be taken lightly but neither is it a time to be somber; rather, we should be filled with thankfulness and joy. Our Savior, out of His great mercy, bids His people to come to this meal. If you are a member of a church who embraces the Gospel of Jesus Christ and are at peace with your fellow Christians, we welcome you to this table. Come and consider with us our Lord’s body and shed blood symbolized in the bread and juice. Rejoice with us in our union with Him and with each other as His Covenant people.

4, 5, & 6 year-old children may be dismissed before the sermon to Godly Play in room 173.

Just as God called us into His presence at the beginning, so now He commands His blessing upon us as we depart. We look up and extend our hands in a posture of thanksgiving as we receive this great gift. Our final response to God’s assurance of His peace and presence upon those who are in Christ is a chorus of joyful song.
