Louise Larocque Tinker was the daughter of famed New York maritime lawyer Joseph Laroque, president of the New York City Bar Association, who purchased real estate in the upper east side Manhattan and Setauket. Louise married Henry Champlin Tinker, president of the Liberty National Bank and they had two children while living on 48 East 87th St. in New York, now a commercial building used in the New York jewelry industry. Their daughter Anne Rensselaer Tinker was a prominent advocate of female suffrage, philanthropist and was awarded the French Medal of Honor for her aid to the wounded in World War 1.
