GREENbike greenbikeslc.org Open year-round, GREENbike makes getting around fun. Plus, it is an easy way to enjoy the sun on the way to your next meeting or lunch spot, no matter the season. Daily or annual passes allow unlimited user rides for 30 or 60 minutes and remove the usual excuses for not riding a bike, such as specific clothing and security. No special attire is required. When bikes are not in use, they are securely docked at a nearby station awaiting the next user. 14

Electric scooters are the latest transportation trend to hit downtown. Lime (li.me/electric-scooter) and Bird (bird.co) have deployed hundreds of readyto-ride scooters around the city. These e-scooters operate via easy-to-use smart phone apps; it’s cheap—just $1 to start a ride and then .15 per minute after a scooter is activated. When you’re done, park the scooter at your destination and end your ride in the app. Just remember, stay in the bike lanes rather than on the sidewalk, wear a helmet and never, ever scoot after having a few drinks—that’s what uber and lyft are for. spring / summer 2019
