This photo was taken at the Pawtucket Red Sox game on Saturday evening. In addition to the three handsome men in the photo, Larry Bean was also there to sing the National Anthem. Unfortunately, the rains came and the game got postponed until Sunday afternoon. Most of the singers were not available on Sunday so the Generations quartet did the National Anthem. From: Larry Newth Facebook...if you are on it, Please "like" the New England Harmony Brigade Page Hi All:
The New England Harmony Brigade is in full Swing, with over 100 people signed up for the Rally, which happens in September. We’re all very excited and run-throughs are taking place at homes all over the Northeast and even in Canada and New York, where some attendees are coming from. It’s exciting to have over 100 guys signed up for this event. And even more exciting is that I can see that we are already accomplishing one of our goals…having 13 songs that solid quartet singers will know when they get together at District and at Division Conventions. I know this from firsthand experience. My Chapter has an afterglow at Uno’s each week, and I hear Harmony Brigade songs being sung….by people who have not sung together before. Now I want to ask you a favor….. if you are on Facebook, would you please go to our page and “like” it. It will help us to get more well known to singers inside and outside the district. I know that not everyone uses Facebook. But there is a large community of people that do, and so giving us a “thumbs up” will let your friends know that there is a Brigade and that we are growing and that we will be planning for another Rally next year. P.S. Please plan to attend our Show in Hudson September 15th. It’s amazing to hear what 100 well prepared singers can do. And we will also have Men in Black and a number of other quartets there, too. The cost is nominal. Thanks a lot. Yours, In Harmony, Lee Daum firstname.lastname@example.org OLDE TYMERS TO EAT The OVER THE HILL GANG will hold its August luncheon on Tuesday, August 14, at Pat's in Yarmouth at 11:30. All welcome: past, present, future, active, inactive barbershoppers. Come and enjoy the camararderie. meet guys from different decades. Swap stories (we do plenty of that). Please make reservations with us no later than two days before so we can give Pat's a head count.

Golf Scramble Tournament, Interested? I would like to know how many members would be interested in holding another scramble golf tournament in the Fall. Members would be welcome to participate as well, even prospective members of the Chapter. The scramble format makes it easy for casual or less-than-casual golfers to enjoy the comaraderie, the outdoors, and new friends, perhaps, and have a great time outdoors. The interest level will determine whether I want to put the time into coordinating this event. Please e-mail me at email@example.com with your answer as to whether or not
you would like to hold this event and, if so, how many friends/relatives would you bring along. Larry Newth
