Downeasters Chorus Rehearsal Agenda for United Methodist Church 52 Tuttle Road, Cumberland, Maine Monday June 23, 2014 7:00 pm – 9:30 pm Chorus Rehearsal Happy Summer to All! Welcome to our first official rehearsal during the Summer of 2014! It goes by fast, so pay attention and enjoy every day, especially this Monday when we get to sing again. I’d like to say again how disappointed Steve Tramack was that he couldn’t make it. He likes working with us as much as we like his sessions. We have surprisingly little time between now and the Yarmouth Clam Festival, our next performance. The new(ish) songs are really making some great progress. Remember chorus breathing, and practice it on *every* song, and even during warmups. It’ll become a habit in no time and you’ll get used to endless support and air. Monday we’ll continue working our newer songs and run some repertoire that we need to keep fresh. It’s Not Easy - drill the parts that aren’t sinking in. This song is deceptively hard to memorize. You Don’t Know Me - make your own personal breath plan And to keep them fresh we’ll probably spend some time on these: Love Me The Way You Look Tonight God Bless America See you all Monday! ~George

Vegas daily wrap-up show coming soon bit.ly/bhsvegasdaily

Even if you can't make it to Vegas, we know you'll want to share the fun that we're all having. The new Convention Daily Wrap-up Show will feature performance highlights, "you are there" footage, and nextday previews in a quick three-minute package that you'll want to tweet, Facebook, and send to friends and family who still don't quite understand the joyous insanity of our gatherings. Jump to the playlist and share the link bit.ly/bhsvegasdaily

MEANWHILE, IN SOCAL MEDIA LAND...

Seven million views on our YouTube Channel! Share with friends! We're closing in on 7,000,000 total views on YouTube! Seven million -- that's like the entire population of Serbia watching! (Which they might, if our globalization efforts succeed. Barbershop conquers all.) To celebrate and help us reach that milestone, let's have a pre-convention YouTube Channel sharing party! The rules are simple. 1. Pick a favorite video from our YouTube page. 2.Share it on Facebook, twitter, etc with someone who has never quite understood your obsession. Here are good places to start your research: • Want something inspirational or funny or chord-crushing? • OR just search on through our Most Popular Barbershop Videos. Those are pretty great, too.
