Remember to wear the first half outfit for rehearsal, which consists of: a. blue jeans b. white shirt-long sleeve c. black vest d. black shoes (don't worry about these for Monday; these will be worn for the show.) ********************************************************** OLDE TYMERS MEET The first luncheon of the year was held by The Over The Hill Gang at Pat's Pizza in Yarmouth on April 28. Eleven people attended and the sum total of their years as barbershoppers amounted to 343 years. Of the 11 in attendance, 9 had sung in at least one registered quartet at some point in their membership and many had sung in many. In attendance were Lin Billings, Manen Clements, Fran Faulkner, Ray Houlden, Charlie Maggs, Wayne Newland, Larry Newth, Dave Sweet, Bob Turner, Marshall Wagner, and Dick Wheeler. Notes of Interest…. This Weekend! st The 21 Annual New England Steel Band Festival This Sunday, May 1 Time: 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Where: Ham Arena, W. Main St. Conway, NH Steel bands representing communities, colleges, and schools from throughout New England will gather at the Ham Arena in Conway NH on May 1st. 14 bands will perform showing the versatility of this unique instrument that originated in the Caribbean. Bands range in size from 5 to 50 players with players from age 7 to 70 and the music ranges from Calypso to Classical. $5.00/person, $15.00/family, under 10 free.
