Notes of Interest & Congratulations…………………… Congratulations Downeasters. Great job in coming in 2nd. I know you were hoping for lst, but I know you did a great job. ~Nancy Mansfield Jack Baggs Presented with His 35 Year Service Pin and BOTY Pin At the Oct.31 meeting of the Downeasters, our illustrious Director, and dear friend, Mr. Jack Baggs, was presented with his 35 year service pin, in spite of the fact that he is in his 37th membership year. Jack has been a devoted, faithful, committed, inspirational member of our chorus, and has taken us to higher levels than most of us thought possible, and we're still moving forward. Jack also received his BOTY pin for the 3 years that he was voted into that position, which would be 1990, 2006 and 2009. This is a wonderful experience to that person who is elected to become BOTY, as it comes by vote of the membership, and is an expression of their love and appreciation for that person's contribution to the chorus. Jack had cataract surgery, with lens implant a few days before this last meeting, so he had a private chauffeur, his lovely wife, Priscilla, who did the actual "pinning", and now Jack has a couple of puncture marks to go along with his pins. Just kidding. On behalf of the Downeasters BOD, Jack, wear your pins proudly, you've earned them. By: Marshall Wagner Hi Guys, Every week for the next 6 or seven weeks Rachel Morin, our publicity collaborator at CLT, plans at a minimum to have articles the size of the attached in the press . If we do a good job at the Battle of the Blends, that will result in great exposure and positive press. No media outlet will be overlooked in our combined promotion effort, including the chamber newsletter, Twin City Times, Auburn Highlights, Lewiston Sun Journal and L/A Magazine. CLT will also mail to its 3000 supporters. Let hope for good weather and a full house on December 10th. Warm regards, Al Sargent
