Video of the Week by Miles Hunt Missed last week! Here is this week's Video of the Week... This one's good enough to hold down TWO weeks.

Downeasters, your next Video of the Week brings to one of the other greatest quartets ever: Keepsake. Keepsake won the International Gold Medal in 1992. One of their strengths was their ability to capture the true essence of the songs and bring their audience into the story. Leading this quartet was "Mighty" Joe Connelly (earning his second of now FOUR gold medals). Joe recently won with Old School in 2011, but also has gold medals with Interstate Rivals (1987) and Platinum (2000). He now holds the record for most overall International Gold Medals (not counting seniors or collegiate medals). Singing tenor was roger Ross. This was Roger's only gold medal, SO FAR. He has directed several choruses at the international level and has been a permanent "sub" with the Dapper Dans of Disney World since 1978. Along with the baritone of Keepsake, he is currently competing with Main Street, the 2011 5th place medal winner. Singing Bass was Don Barnick, taking home his second gold medal (he won with Grandma's Boys in 1979). He is currently the only two-time gold medalist to win on BOTH tenor and bass. Last, but not least, Keepsake's win made baritone, Tony Derosa, the youngest member to ever win the gold at 19. Tony started singing when he was 7 and joined his first quartet when he was 10 (a district champion in 1984 and 1985 international competitor). He has won THREE gold medals with Keepsake, Platinum (2000) and Max Q in 2007. He is currently singing lead with Main Street and looks to bring home his fourth gold medal. He has sung baritone in both Keepsake and Platinum, but sang lead with Max Q. Please take note of their ability to truly sell the song. Here they are, your 1992 SPEBSQSA International Gold Medalist... KEEPSAKE! Enjoy.

Operation Harold Hill – Growth for your chapter “Operation Harold Hill is a mobilization of the Society to increase membership for 2012. It is an opportunity for each chapter to select its own method of recruitment of members that fit its particular vision, not a new plan designed for everyone to implement in the same way. The goal is to increase the Society's recruitment by 25% over the previous five-year average for the first six months of the year.” Chapters are encouraged to learn more and sign up at the Operation Harold Hill website: Any questions please contact Dave Cole at *********************************************************
