Midwinter Convention Webcast Hi everyone, Every now and then a real bargain drops into your lap and do I have one for you. For the very first time, our BHS Midwinter Convention is going to be webcast. I've become a huge fan of the International webcast because it's a wonderful substitute for being there, although being there is an amazing experience. If you've never been to the Midwinter (and I haven't) there are so many reasons to go, beyond the comraderie. ***The five International medalists will all be there and performing in two great shows. That's Main Street, Masterpiece, A Mighty Wind, Musical Island Boys, and our new champs, Ringmasters. These shows will include various past Senior champs plus Liberty Voices from Disney World. ***The Senior International Quartet contest will be held. Root on our NED representatives, Trade Secret (Bill Wright, Bob O'Connell, Ricky Wright, and Mike Maino). ***The Youth Festival choruses will compete, that's 19 choruses from all over the land including our very own G20 chorus from New Bedford. And now we find out that a special show featuring Crossroads (2009 BHS Champs),
The Buzz (2004 SAI Champs) and a return of Gas House Gang (1993 BHS Champs) will be part of the webcast. All this for 39 bucks and it starts at 8 PM tonight EDT (Thursday, Jan. 10) I signed up this morning and it only takes few minutes so you have time. Even if you don't get this in time for tonight, you'll only miss one show and the price is still right! Will you join me? Harmoniously, Jim Dodge
Ringmasters and Masterpiece on Manchester, CT show, January 19 On Saturday, January 19th *Ringmasters *will headline the Manchester, CT Show followed by *Masterpiece*. Ringmasters took the Gold at the 2012 International Contest and Masterpiece placed 4th. There is a 1:30 pm show and a 7:30 pm show, both at Manchester High School, followed by an Afterglow. All seats are reserved and may be ordered at * http://www.silkcitychorus.org/ANNUALSHOW/index.html*<http://www.silkcitychorus.org/ ANNUALSHOW/index.html> . That will allow you to pick your own seats from those that are still available. If you would like to avoid the service fee for using the automated seating process and have me get you seats, call me at the number below or email me at *email@example.com* <firstname.lastname@example.org>. I can also get you afterglow tickets for $12.00. Seat prices are $28 for the front 4 rows, $23 for the next 6 rows and $20 ($17 for seniors and students) for the remaining seats. The best seats are going fast. Tickets will be available at the door but they are $2 more on the day of the show and are likely to be in the rear sections of the auditorium. Don’t miss this bargain opportunity to see two medalist quartets that don’t make it to the East Coast often. Hope to see you at the show. Jim Kew, Past President, Manchester Chapter 860-305-9584 The show is at Manchester High School, 134 Middle Turnpike East, Manchester, CT 06040
