land’s Wrecker Service was founded by Gary Bland in 1969 and has become one of Bloomington and Monroe County, Indiana’s premier towing, recovery and roadside assistance companies. Gary sold out and retired at the end of 2015 and Chad Stephens took over. Featured here is their 2013 NRC Quickswap mounted on a 2006 Kenworth T800, a workhorse unit they simply call “The Quickswap.” This rig is powered by a Caterpillar C15 550HP engine mated to an Eaton Fuller 18-Speed transmission. The NRC factory built and installed the Quickswap unit and Bland’s Wrecker Service built the remainder of the unit in house.
