s the number of Electric Vehicles (EVs) on the road increase, the more likely a service provider will be to encounter one in all states of damage or disrepair. Working with Battery operated Electric Vehicles (BEVs) will become a big part of our daily lives in the very near future. The vast majority of new BEVs are powered by lithium-ion batteries. Why Lithium-ion? Because they have: • A high energy density (BEVs store a large amount of energy for a given volume) • A low self-discharge rate (BEVs retain a charge longer) •  An excellent electrochemical potential (allowing high-power discharge)
