Ireland Education History - Bachelor of Music (BMus) from Queen's University, Belfast Grade 2:1 (2009-2011) - Distinction in HND Music Practice at South Eastern Regional College, Bangor, NI (2006-2008) - Distinction in National Diploma Music Practise at South Eastern Regional College, Bangor, NI (2003-2005) - 9 GCSE's grade A*-C (including Maths [A], English [A*], Music [A*]) at St Patrick's Grammar School, Downpatrick (1996-2001) Relevant Experience Proficient in a number of music software packages including Sibelius, ProTools, Audacity, Csound, Adobe Audition, Spear. I have experience in editing, mixing, mastering, arranging and also using software as a compositional tool. My degree was focussed mainly on composition- traditional classical composition, electroacoustic composition and experimental composition, but also have studied Music of Southeast Asia, American Popular Song and classical harmony techniques. I have experience in arranging for a number of artists: Pat Dam Smyth's album The Great Divide (Album of the Week by Cosmopolitan Magazine- March 2011) I was arranger of a 5-piece brass section (trumpets, trombone, tuba and French horn) on 4 songs and an all girl choir on 1 song. The Olympic Lifts, a popular Belfast hip-hop/rock crossover, I arranged a 3-piece horn section for 8 songs their forthcoming sixth album (alto and tenor saxes and trumpet). My own band, NI Soul Troop, a 10-piece band who play an original mixture of soul/funk about to release our second EP, I have been arranger for 25 songs (clarinet, sax, trumpet, keys, bass, drums, percussion, guitar and 4 vocalists). I have also composed for larger ensembles: CYP project in Bangor college composed for strings, brass, wind, percussion and singers for a performance in conjunction with modern dance (20-30 musicians). I am a songwriter and singer- Winner of Ards International Guitar Festival Songwriting Competition (2008)- and have experience in a wide varieties of genre: folk, jazz, pop, blues, soul, funk, rock, ska, punk, Irish traditional, heavy metal,

classical, experimental. Most recent compositional project- Life is a Carnival which took place in Botanic Gardens, Belfast- a large scale 50-piece ensemble composing for 12 musicians, choir and samba band. The music was to accompany an aerial show with acrobats, circus performers, etc. with up to 100 people involved in the entire show.
