Message from the president of asia-pacific

Message from the general manager

Dear Mary Kay Family,

Dearest Beauty Consultants,

What a year! New records, a new high for Mary Kay Philippines. Congratulations... we are so proud of you.

Welcome to Seminar Year 2013!

A new year is just beginning. What will this year be...? Mary Kay says when we help someone to succeed, you will find success yourself. Let this year be a year where you are committed to help lift that person up to the next level, where love for others and not self glorification is the motivating force of what you want to do. Let this year be a year of helping others to succeed. Let this year be a year where you can lift others to stand on mountains... You Can Do It! All my love, KK Chua

The month of August ushers in the new Seminar year; a fresh start for our Mary Kay business and a grand kick off for the year-long celebration of Mary Kay’s 50th year of enriching women’s lives all over the world in 2013. Yes, a new Seminar year has just begun and now is the perfect time to start setting your personal goals and working early for the Seminar prizes and awards that you have always wanted to receive. After another record-breaking Seminar year for Mary Kay Philippines, we have to continue working together to ensure the growth and sustainability of your business.

Now is your time to shine in your Mary Kay career! You have what it takes to succeed and you have a big Mary Kay family that is willing to support you. May the new Seminar year provide you more opportunities to pursue the mission of enriching the lives of Filipino men and women. And let’s make it our best year ever.

Hard work and dedication to our chosen career will go a long way in helping us reach our dreams and

Warmest regards, Tente Alday

I am so happy that Mary Kay introduced me to their new product, Lash and Brow Building Serum. The product I can use to improve my thin sparse lashes and brows. Not only that, it can deliver results in 30 days. I just followed the directions and used it every night. I can already see improvements in two weeks. And oh, for ladies with sensitive eyes like me, this product will not sting your eyes. I am really satisfied. I will definitely continue using the product.

What I loved most about this product is that it’s super easy to use. It just took a few seconds to apply every night. I started seeing results after two to three weeks. My friends noticed the results – I didn’t even have to say anything. I can’t wait to buy it when it comes out!

I'm pretty impressed with the results. Eyelashes are important to an overall look because they give your eyes definitiion and can make them pop. It's exciting to see this type of innovative product from a brand like Mary Kay. I didn't use Mary Kay products before, and I'm excited to try the rest of your products. Thank you, Mary Kay!

My natural lashes fell off and shortened due to my prolonged use of lash extensions. I tried to grow them back, bought top of the line and expensive products. Unfortunately, all of the products I’ve tried failed me; they over committed and under delivered. One product irritated my eyes & I endured crying every night.

applause august 2012

With the new Mary Kay Lash and Brow Building Serum, I felt the goodness from the first time I tried it – no stingy feeling & easy to apply! After 2 weeks of use, I saw that there’s a gradual yet true improvement to my thinning eye lashes, A welcome bonus was that it also helped my sparse eye brows! After 4 weeks, I definitely have a fuller & longer lash! I will continue using it until I achieve the length and thickness I desire. Another Mary Kay innovative product! I LOVE MY MARY KAY!

DO THE POWER 10: 3+3+3+1 Habits of a successful Independent Beauty Consultant

As an Independent Beauty Consultant, it is important for you to learn, practice and live the habits and traits of doing the Mary Kay business.

• TURN A FACIAL INVITE TO A SKIN CARE CLASS.

• ALLOT CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE CALLS.

• BULD YOUR TEAM WITH CONFIDENCE.

When someone schedules a facial with you, you can easily turn it into a skin care class by asking her to share her facial with a few friends. You can either have a small group of three or four or a larger group of five or six.

Don't be afraid to offer the great Mary Kay opportunity. You can find your potential new team members everywhere: among your friends, relatives, acquaintances, at skin care classes and facials, among people with whom you might casually discuss your business. When you talk with them, try simply explaining what has made you enthusiastic about your Mary Kay business. Chances are, they'll respond to your enthusiasm! Remember to conduct at least 3 team building interviews every week.

Don't forget to pre-profile your guests, discuss each product's benefit and have guests learn how to use the products by themselves. Remember to do at least 3 skin care classes every week.

use the Power Card

Many Independent Beauty Consultants have found it beneficial to set aside time each week for making customer service calls. Focus on your customer and how you can help her. Ask questions about her and her beauty needs. Your goal is to build a relationship with her, not to see how many products you can sell her. If she doesn't order anything that day, try her again the next time you make your customer service calls. Remember to do at least 3 customer services and have 1 new customer every week.

January 16 - december 31, 2012

A great and successful Mary Kay career begins with consistent career habits. Develop the habit that spell success with the help of the Power Card. • The first set of activities is Power 10 activities (HOLD 3 SKIN CARE CLASSES, 3 INTERVIEWS, 3 CUSTOMER SERVICES AND HAVE 1 NEW CUSTOMER).

• A new Beauty Consultant must accomplish all the activity requirements from her first to third month as a Beauty Consultant.

Are you a New Beauty Consultant? You're invited to the

New Beauty Consultant

Welcome Party

We found out that there are six main reasons that someone becomes a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. One fun and quick way to discuss these reasons with your potential team member is using the acronym MRS CAB. Which one of these reasons appeal to your potential team members? 1. MONEY. "Would you be interested in a business where you control the amount of money you earn?" Discuss the avenues of income and the fact that whether they're looking for an extra P5000 a week or P10,000 a month, their earning potential is up to them. 2. RECOGNITION."When was the last time your company or your family recognized you for a job well done? Discuss that as Mary Kay independent sales force members, they are consistently recognized. Whether it's with a diamond ring, a ribbon or simply with words of praise, it feels good to be appreciated. 3. SELF-CONFIDENCE AND PERSONAL GROWTH."Can you get excited about a business that not only helps you build your income but also helps you build your self-esteem and self-confidence at the same time?" Discuss the opportunities that they will grow personally as well as professionally and the positive environment that encourages personal growth. 4. CARS. "When was the last time you earned the use of a Career Car?" Talk about the Career Car program. 5. ADVANCEMENT. "Have you ever worked very hard and were passed over for a promotion?" Mention that with Mary Kay, they can advance at their own pace and the opportunity for advancement is in their control. 6. BE YOUR OWN BOSS. "Do you have the flexibility to work the hours you want to work, to be home when your children get out of school, to be your own boss?" Discuss the freedom of being selfemployed and the flexibility of working the hours you want to work.
