From Success to Significant Before Mary Kay, Lourdes Felix (Doddé as fondly called by her friends) was quietly enjoying her retirement. After 22 years of service as a Flight Attendant, her feet finally landed in terra firma and she began to manage her own companies and to have more time for her family. When she started to use Mary Kay products, her friends noticed the glow on her face. Before she knew it, she was captivated by these lovely products and decided to sign up for the Mary Kay business. Little did Doddé know that she made a decision that would open doors for more great opportunities in her life. In March 2010, Doddé started her Mary Kay career. In less than five months, she debuted as a Sales Director, and by the end of that year, she produced her first offspring. In June 2011, she became an Executive Senior Sales Director. Doddé shares, “In Mary Kay, it doesn’t matter if you are the new kid on the block. What matters most is how hard you work to get your goal. One should work smart. You determine your own pace, paycheck and prize.” Doddé became the Seminar 2011 Queen of Queen's Court of Unit Sales and the Number 1 in the Nation on her 8th month as Sales Director. She was not expecting that these accomplishments would make her Number 17 out of thousands of Sales Directors in the entire Mary Kay Asia-Pacific region, which is a first for Mary Kay Philippines. “Being a Mary Kay Sales Director is being an Entrepreneur. As I go up, I bring people up with me. It is also fulfilling to be able to enrich other people’s lives, not only materially but more importantly, spiritually. My life in Mary Kay can be described as one from success to significant,” she declares. According to her, she found the true meaning of life in Mary Kay: to work not for oneself, but to the Creator of the self where she set her right priorities – God first, family second and career third. And for all of these, she gives the glory to God, for riches and honor come from Him.

A Sweet Beginning Vivian McGowan candidly shares the time when she first experienced using her Mary Kay products. “That was in 1996 in San Francisco, California, USA. It was a nice and sweet encounter,” she beams with all smiles.

I did very well,” she recalls. It was the moment when she realized the great opportunities that comes with this business.

Indeed, all her hard work in this business paid off, Vivian was named the Seminar 2011 Queen of Queen's Court of Personal Sales – Sales Director. “I was so overwhelmed. I couldn’t believe I became a Queen. I didn’t expect it – it was a blessing! I love Mary Kay!”

To stay on track in her Mary Kay career, Vivian consistently attended various selling and teambuilding training activities. She gave herself the time and opportunity to understand

A Back-to-Back Win “I never expect to win! I’m just so focused to do my business,” says Alma Alburo – Seminar 2011 Queen of Queen’s Court of Sharing who also happens to be last year’s Queen of the same category.

It’s a back-to-back win for Alma, who has always been consistently part of the Queen’s Court of Sharing since 2007. “I am very thankful to God, to my mentor and to all the people who always believe that I can do it. I’m simply very eager to share the great opportunity of Mary Kay,” she remarks.

Using her good background in accountancy and in sales to her advantage, Alma has managed to grow her business year after year. "Now, I received my second Pink Car from Mary Kay," she exclaims. She adds that consistency is the key to have a very stable and enriching Mary Kay career.

According to her, she didn’t anticipate this kind of blessing to come her way because of the setbacks and difficulties she encountered at this point in her life. But those made Alma even more determined to focus on her business. She always remembers the values taught

Imagining herself to the top Anna Lorian Dato asked herself if she has what it takes to be a Seminar Queen, especially when she witnessed the magnificence of Philippine Seminar 2010. Although she imagined herself to be one, she never expected that it would happen this year. “I never thought it would really happen. Becoming the Seminar 2011 Queen of Queen's Court of Personal Sales (Beauty Consultant) really boosts my confidence. Indeed, I can do something and I can really make a difference not only in my life but also in the lives of others,” Anna relates. The whole experience was not only life changing for Anna, but inspiring as well. “It was a humbling experience and I will genuinely be happy for the next Queen in 2012. I feel

everyone at Mary Kay should experience the chance to be crowned as King or Queen, at least once in their lives,” she shares with conviction. However, becoming a Seminar Queen never influenced Anna to rest on her laurels. She vows to work harder not only for herself but also to share the fruits of her labor from Mary Kay with her family. She also wants to fulfill her plans of having her own Pink Car and earning Mary Kay trips overseas. “Plus, don’t forget to beautify the world with one Filipina at a time,” she quips. Lastly, Anna gives a million thanks to Mary Kay. “You have touched my life and I am sure that it was the Divine Creator who has touched you first. Thank you, Mary Kay Ash! Team Building and the Golden Rule

Chances are that at some point you might find yourself in the middle of some tough team building issues. These can be avoided if you use the Mary Kay's philosophy of the Golden Rule as your guide in team building.

Be part of the Red Jacket Rally!

1. Qualify your customers and potential team members. Whenever you meet a customer or potential team member, you'll want your first two questions to be: "Do you currently have a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant who serves you? Has anyone ever offered you the Mary Kay opportunity? If the answer is "yes" to either these questions, you might consider following the Golden Rule and referring that prospect back to her Beauty Consultant, even if she lives in another city. 2. Establish a relationship with your customer. Consider establishing relationships with your customers by offering them excellent customer service and layering them with team building materials. 3. Refrain from recruiting relatives of active Independent Beauty Consultants. Because it is strongly encouraged that relatives stay in the same unit, it is advised not to recruit relatives of active Beauty Consultants. 4. No one person will make or break your business. When you treat others as you want to be treated, it may mean giving up something that you would like to have, like a potential team member or hostess. Remember no one team member, customer or hostess is going to make or break your business. 5. Refrain from selling to other people's customers. If someone attends one of your skin care classes and tells you that she has a Beauty Consultant, you may want to sell her product that day in order to help the hostess, but refer her back to her Beauty Consultant for any future purchases.

The top 5 qualified Beauty Consultants with the highest number of qualified recruits will receive 2 Limited-Edition Mary Kay Duffle Bags for the trip. Ties will be broken by the total team sales from the qualified recruits.

Open to sales force members from Beauty Consultant level to Future Sales Director level. Have at least 20 new recruits within the contest period. All new recruits should have at least P56,000 cumulative sales each within the contest period. All qualified new recruits must not be on terminated status at the end of the contest period. There will be no ceiling requirement for the number of recruits every month during the challenge period. Qualifying Beauty Consultant must be on active status at the end of the contest period with cumulative personal sales of P120,000.
