Richy Ahmed Hailing from South Shields in the north of England, Richy Ahmed is a DJ and producer whose Ibiza presence is undeniable. Last season he held down his well-known residency at DC10’s Paradise whilst also becoming one of the seven all-night guests to take over the Space Terrace for elrow. Now having launched his own record label, Four Thirty Two, he continues to reinvent and roll with the times in this fastpaced industry. What’s your favourite part of coming back to Ibiza? I much prefer the start of the summer if I’m honest. I look forward to seeing old friends; people are fresh and happy… They ain’t tainted like they are in September! I spend so much time there, I really just love being back in my home away from home. Tell us about your favourite after-party. The after-parties I’ll never forget are back from when I was young and didn’t DJ, I was just there for the music – on holiday and that. If I had to choose one I would have to pick the Cocoon afters back in the days when it would kick right off with Ricardo Villalobos and Mathew Jonson. That was my favourite time for music in Ibiza. We would go to these parties hoping someone in our group knew Sven Vath and would wait outside for like two to three hours, and when you got in, it was like having a golden ticket. It was something else, honest! What can we look forward to this summer? Is there any new talent we should be following? Well firstly, I would like to shout out to brilliant new talents Senzala and Jansons – two hot people on my label, Four Thirty Two. As for me, I’ve planned my Ibiza summer already. Playing a lot of really good parties again this year – Paradise, elrow and Circoloco, and you’ll be hearing about some upcoming Four Thirty Two parties as well…
