PAUL WESLEY as STEFAN SALVATORE Born-July 23, 1982, New Brunswick, New Jersey, U.S. Paul Wesley is a Polish, naturalized American actor best known as Stefan Salvatore, the younger of two vampire brothers who share a long and bitter history, in The ITV 2 hit drama "The Vampire Diaries." Over the years, Wesley has distinguished himself as one of Hollywood's hottest up-and-coming actors. He recently completed production on "The Baytown Disco," a crime dramedy in which he stars opposite Billy Bob Thornton and Andre Braugher. The picture recently wrapped shooting in Louisiana in May of this year and will be in theaters in 2012. Prior to joining "The Vampire Diaries," Wesley had many memorable roles during the course of his over-a-decade-long career. Film credits include "Peaceful Warrior," opposite Nick Nolte, cult favourite "Roll Bounce" and Agnieszka Holland's HBO film "Shot in the Heart," among others. His vast range of television credits includes well-received recurring roles on series such as "Ever wood," "American Dreams," "8 Simple Rules" and "24." He starred opposite Bryan Cranston in the highly rated "Fallen," a six-part miniseries based on the hit books by Tom Sniegoski. The story chronicles the journey of a young man (Wesley) who struggles to come to terms with his newly discovered identity as he is drawn into a world where angels – good and evil – walk among us. He currently resides in Los Angeles and Atlanta, where he continues filming on "The Vampire Diaries."


NINA DOBREVas ELENA GILBERT Born-January 9, 1989 In The CW's hit drama, "The Vampire Diaries," Nina Dobrev plays a double role, starring as Elena Gilbert, a beautiful young girl caught between two vampire brothers, and as Katherine Pierce, the ruthless vampire the brothers knew and loved in the nineteenth century. For her portrayal of Elena/Katherine, Dobrev was awarded the Teen Choice Award for "Choice TV Actress Fantasy/Sci Fi in 2011 and 2010. In film, Dobrev has just wrapped production on the Summit Entertainment film "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," written and directed by Stephen Chbosky. The film, based on the novel published in 1999, tells the story of an introverted freshman named Charlie (played by Logan Lerman), who learns about everything from drug use to suicide after being taken under the wings of his stepsiblings. Dobrev will play Charlie's older sister in the film, which will be released in 2012. She has also finished production on "The Killing Game," with Kellan Lutz and Samuel L. Jackson. The film centers on a man (Lutz) who is kidnapped and forced into the world of modern gladiators. Dobrev plays the wife of Lutz's character. Dobrev was last seen in Screen Gems' "The Roommate," with Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly. Other past film credits include Montecito Pictures' "Chloe," with Julianne Moore, Amanda Seyfried and Liam Neeson , "Fugitive Pieces," with Ayelet Zurer and Rosamund Pike, "Away From Her," with Julie Christie, and "The Poet." Television credits include lead roles on "DeGrassi: The Next Generation" and "MTV's The All American Mall," as well as a guest appearance on "Eleventh Hour." She has also appeared in the television movies "Never Cry Werewolf" and "Too Young to Marry." Born in Bulgaria, Sofia , Dobrev moved to Canada at the age of 2 and grew up in Toronto, Ontario. She currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where "The Vampire Diaries" is filmed.


IAN SOMERHALDER as DAMON SALVATORE Born-December 8, 1978, Covington, Louisiana, U.S. Ian Somerhalder plays Damon Salvatore, the elder of two vampire brothers who share a long and bitter history, in The CW's hit drama "The Vampire Diaries." He was awarded a 2011 Teen Choice Award for "Choice TV Actor Fantasy/Sci-Fi" and a 2010 Teen Choice Award for "Choice TV Villain" for his portrayal of Damon. Somerhalder is well known for his role as Boone on J.J. Abrams' critically acclaimed drama "Lost." He won the 2005 SAG Award as part of "Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series" and "Lost" won the 2005 Emmy Award for "Best Television Series - Drama." The show was also nominated for the 2004 Golden Globe Award and the 2004 People's Choice Award. Somerhalder returned to "Lost" for several episodes during its final season. Somerhalder starred in the Sci Fi Channel's "Lost City Raiders," opposite James Brolin. "Lost City Raiders" premiered to record ratings. He also starred in the miniseries "Marco Polo," playing the title character opposite Brian Dennehy and B.D Wong. Written by Ron Hutchinson, the film traces the Venetian adventurer's journey to Mongolia, where he was an envoy to the court of Kubla Khan. On stage, Somerhalder starred off-Broadway in Trip Cullman's "Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead," an "unauthorized parody" of Charles Schulz' comic strip "Peanuts" that follows the travails of a grown up Charlie Brown and the original gang as their beloved beagle dies. Somerhalder co-starred with Eddie Kaye Thomas, Eliza Dushku, America Ferrera, Ari Graynor and Logan Marshall-Green. Somerhalder's other television credits include HBO's "Tell Me You Love Me," the TV movie "Anatomy of a Hate Crime," a leading role in The WB series "Young Americans," and guest starring roles in "CSI," "CSI: Miami," "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" and "Smallville."


STEVEN R. MCQUEEN as JEREMY GILBERT Born- July 13, 1988 Steven R. McQueen stars as Jeremy Gilbert, a troubled teen on a dangerous and self-destructive path since the death of his parents, in The ITV 2 new drama, "The Vampire Diaries." McQueen has already built an impressive resume of television appearances. He had a recurring role as a musical prodigy on the drama "Everwood," and a leading role in the Disney Channel movie "Minutemen." His guest-starring roles have included series such as "CSI: Miami," "Without a Trace," "Numbers" and "Threshold." On the big screen, McQueen appeared in the independent film "Club Soda," for which he won the Beverly Hills Film Festival Audience Award for Best Actor. He also has a leading role in the sci-fi action film "Piranha 3-D," with Elizabeth Shue and Jerry O'Connell. McQueen is skilled in martial arts, ice hockey, kickboxing and horseback riding. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, McQueen is the grandson of actor Steve McQueen. He has relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, for the filming of "The Vampire Diaries."


KAT ALEXANDRA GRAHAM as BONNIE BENNETT Born- September 5, 1989, Geneva, Switzerland Kat Graham stars as Bonnie Bennett, a powerful witch whose life and friendships have been turned upside down by the arrival of two vampire brothers, in The ITV 2 new drama "The Vampire Diaries." Born in Geneva, Switzerland, Graham speaks four languages, and was exposed to different cultures from an early age. Her father, Joseph, was a music executive. Her grandfather was a United Nations Ambassador from Liberia. The family moved to Los Angeles, California when Graham was 4 years old. Graham began doing commercials at the age of 6, appearing in spots for Barbie, K-Mart, Pop Tarts, and Edison. Her first big break came when she replaced a young Christina Milian as the host of the series "Movie Surfers." Her television credits include guest spots on such shows as "Joan of Arcadia," "Like Family," "Grounded For Life," "Lizzie McGuire," "CSI: Las Vegas," "The O.C.," "Malcolm in The Middle," "Strong Medicine" and "Hannah Montana." At the age of 15, Graham was chosen by choreographer Fatima to perform at the BET Awards as a background dancer for Lil' Bow Wow. That experience led to other stints as a background dancer for Missy Elliott, Pharrell, Jamie Foxx, and choreographers Hi Hat and Michael Rooney. In addition to her acting and dancing abilities, Graham wrote and sang a song titled "Derailed," which was featured in a Jean-Claude Van Damme movie. At 17, Kat was selected by the Coca-Cola Company as part of an international campaign to market their soft drink Fanta. While promoting the campaign as a member of the "Fantanas" (as Capri/Strawberry), Graham simultaneously completed her degree in recording engineering. She recently finished a world tour with The Black-Eyed Peas, and her voice is featured on Will.I.Am's solo release "Songs About Girls" ("I Got It From My Mama") and "The Donque Song," featuring Snoop Dogg. Additionally, she's working on her first album, which features collaborations with top producers like Dr. Hollywood and JR Rotem. Graham was seen in the film "17 Again," with Zac Efron and Matthew Perry. Her recent film projects include a starring role in Universal's "Honey2," and Screen Gems' "The Roommate," with Leighton Meester of "Gossip Girl."


CANDICE ACCOLA as CAROLINE FORBES Born-May 13, 1987 Candice Accola stars as Caroline Forbes, a young woman searching for friendship, love and her place in the world, in The ITV 2 hit drama "The Vampire Diaries." Accola was last seen in the smash hit "Juno," opposite Ellen Page and Michael Cera. She also starred in "Deadgirl," the independent horror film that was met with much critical attention and internet buzz at the Toronto Film Festival in 2008. The film will be in limited release in the summer of 2009. On television, she has had guest starring roles in The CW's "Supernatural" and "Greek," as well as "How I Met Your Mother." Accola is best known for her musical talents, and she provided back-up vocals in "Hannah Montana: the Movie," as well as touring with the "Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds" tour in 2008. Prior to that, she achieved success in her music career after being signed to a record deal at the age of 16. Her music has garnered international success and she continues to record and write her own music. In the spring of 2010, she became passionately involved with the charity Turn the Corner, a foundation dedicated to awareness and education about Lyme disease. After reconnecting with a childhood friend chronically afflicted with the disease, Accola has spent much of her free time educating others about the symptoms, treatments and problems association with the disease. Accola was born and raised in Orlando, Florida, and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where "The Vampire Diaries" films.


ZACH GEORGE ROERIG as MATT DONOVAN Born- February 22, 1985 In The CW's hit drama, "The Vampire Diaries," Zach Roerig stars as Matt Donovan, an all-American guy struggling to do the right thing in a town full of mystery and violence. Many viewers will remember Roerig from his high-profile arc as Tyra's (Adrianne Palicki) bad boy beau, rodeo star Cash, on the critically acclaimed drama "Friday Night Lights." While "The Vampire Diaries" marked Roerig's true introduction into primetime television, he is no stranger to hard, steady work. Born and raised in Northwestern Ohio, Zach assisted in his family business and played competitive sports, including football and wrestling. Growing up in a small, rural town, Roerig has always been an avid outdoorsman. In his later years of high school, he caught the acting bug and began commuting to Cleveland (the closest big city) to begin formal training. Upon graduation Zach moved to New York to pursue his dream of a career as an actor. Within a matter of months, he landed the role of Casey Hughes on the daytime serial "As the World Turns," where he made such an impression on the producers and fans that he was soon offered a long-term contract. His two-year stint on the soap allowed him to continue honing his craft while enjoying steady work as an actor. As he delved more into the world of acting, he discovered a passion for producing and developing his own projects at the same time. With one short film already completed, Zach remains excited about taking on other stimulating television and feature projects, whether acting or producing. Roerig currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where "The Vampire Diaries" is filmed.


MICHAEL TREVINO as TYLER LOCKWOOD Born- January 25, 1985 Michael Trevino plays Tyler Lockwood, Mystic Falls' star athlete-turned-werewolf on The CW's hit drama "The Vampire Diaries." Already a familiar face to television audiences, Trevino was a series regular on "Cane," and has recurring roles on "90210" and "The Riches." He has had many guest starring roles on series such as "CSI: NY," "Bones," "Cold Case," "Without a Trace," "Commander In Chief," "Summerland" and "Charmed." He also had a leading role in The Disney Channel's "Cow Belles." Trevino recently won a Teen Choice Award for "Choice TV Male Scene Stealer" for his work on "The Vampire Diaries," and was also nominated for a 2011 ALMA Award. Born and raised in Valencia, California, Trevino divides his time between Los Angeles, California, and Atlanta, Georgia, where "The Vampire Diaries" films.


MATT DAVIS as ALARIC SALTZMAN Born- May 8, 1978, Salt Lake City, Utah, U.S. He attended Woods Cross High School, and the University of Utah. Matt Davis plays Alaric Saltzman, the vampire hunter who has become an unlikely ally for the Salvatore brothers, in The ITV 2 new hit drama "The Vampire Diaries." On the big screen, Davis is well-known for his role in the hit film, "Legally Blonde," where he played Warner Huntington III, the boyfriend who dumps Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon), thereby motivating her to follow him to Harvard Law School. Davis also appeared in Michael Bay's blockbuster, "Pearl Harbour," "Blue Crush, directed by John Stockwell, and "Seeing Other People, directed by Wallace Wolodarsky. He starred in the comedy "Finding Bliss," opposite Leelee Sobieski, the WWII drama "Below," with Bruce Greenwood and Zach Galifianakis, and in Joel Schumacher's Vietnam drama "Tigerland," with Colin Farrell. Additional film credits include "Heights," with Glenn Close and James Marsden, "Waiting for Forever," with Rachel Bilson and Nikki Blonsky, and "S. Darko," with Elizabeth Berkley and Ed Westwick. On television, Davis was a regular on the series "What About Brian?" and had a recurring role in the critically acclaimed drama "Damages." He was a guest star in "Law & Order: SVU" and appeared in the pilot "Limelight." Davis currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia, where "The Vampire Diaries" films.


JOSEPH MORGAN as KLAUS Born Joseph Martin; 16 May 1981) is an English actor. Joseph Morgan plays Klaus, one of the "Originals" – the very first vampire family – and the most powerful vampire in existence. Season three will reveal Klaus' family history and his reasons for wanting Stefan (Paul Wesley) on his side. Morgan was born in London and spent his childhood with his family in Swansea, Wales, where he attended Morriston Comprehensive School before moving back to London in his late teens to study acting at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Upon graduation from Central School, Morgan was hired by acclaimed film director Peter Weir ("Gallipoli," "The Year of Living Dangerously," "Dead Poets Society," "The Truman Show") to costar opposite Russell Crow in "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World." Soon after completion of that film, director Oliver Stone hired Morgan for a strong supporting role in the feature film "Alexander." After "Alexander," Morgan spent time working on stage in the West End of London, as well as starring as Troy in the first series of the Sky One UK television series "Hex." He also has starred in the BBC miniseries "The Line of Beauty." Other television credits include the series "Doc Martin" and "Mansfield Park," in which he played the character of William, alongside star Billie Piper. His big break came in 2009, when Morgan was cast in the leading role in the miniseries "Ben Hur." Based on the classic novel and film, "Ben Hur" was directed by Steve Shill. In 2010, Morgan's film roles included the independent drama "Angels Crest," and the big-budget film "Immortals," in which he co-starred with Mickey Rourke. Both films were shot in Canada and are scheduled for a 2011 release
