About Musiqaa Welcome to Musiqaa For the team at Musiqaa, we believe in Music without boundaries. As passionate musicians we know that music brings people together. Not only does music develop confidence, it can also increase your child’s cultural and social skills. Learning music will teach discipline and commitment and at the same time allow your child the opportunity to express themselves artistically, both individually and as part of a group. At Musiqaa, everyone has the opportunity to learn a band or orchestral instrument and participate in performance ensembles. At Musiqaa your child can develop their musical education supported by highly trained and specialist teachers.

What Musiqaa offers Individual instrumental lessons are open to all, students from both primary and secondary as well adults and students from the wider community, wanting to learn music. Terms & Conditions Enrolment   

 

All students are required to register online at www.musiqaa-academy.com Once you have registered, you will automatically be placed on a waiting list and a teacher will contact you to make the necessary arrangements. Enrolment is for the Academic Year or the remainder thereof. Students will receive lessons once or twice a week during term time. Lessons are timetabled during school hours on a rotation schedule or after school hours on a fixed schedule. It remains the responsibility of the student to complete all curriculum work in addition to their music lessons. Tuition fees are payable in advance per term.

Expectations We expect each student to have an instrument suitable for their age to practice with. Students are expected to practice daily to benefit from the lessons and reach their goals. Our teachers have many strategies for you to help your child at home and support their musical practice.

Missed lessons/ Student Absence 

If a student is sick or unable to attend a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, the parent should inform the teacher by email and copy in the Head of Musiqaa prior to the start of the lesson. Failure to do so will incur the cost of the lesson. Where appropriate notice was given, the teacher will endeavour to provide a make-up lesson. However, this cannot be guaranteed due to scheduling restraints.

When lessons coincide with a school activity, for example sports days, camps, class excursions or tests, it is the responsibility of the parent (or the student in the case of Secondary students) to contact the Instrumental teacher 3 working days before the lesson to arrange a suitable alternate time. Failure to do so will result in the lesson being forfeited and paid for. (No make-up lesson can be offered in this case.)

Lessons missed due to a public holiday (1 day) will be made up by the Instrumental teacher.

If the Instrumental teacher is sick or unable to provide a lesson, they will inform the parent and then provide a make-up lesson.

A maximum of two lessons can be made up per term.

Refunds will only be given in exceptional circumstances. An administration fee of QR 250 will be applicable to any refund other than those made on medical grounds. 5
