There’s a lot to love at a DockHounds

About The Hounds

game. And a lot to do. From events to entertainment, from the parking lot to the bleachers, there’s something for the whole family. Oh, and there’s some pretty good baseball being played on the field as well.

In game 1, Winnipeg jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st but the DockHounds fired back with 2 runs of their own. The Hounds then put up 2 more runs in the bottom of the second on back-to-back blasts by Daikan Yoh and T.J Bennett. The game would remain 4-1 Hounds until the 5th when they would push across 1 more. The DockHounds would tack on 3 runs in the 8th on a Tristen Carranza 3-run home run. The DockHounds would go on to win 8-5 in their first ever home game! Alex McRae would get the win on the mound after throwing 7 strong innings striking out 7 batters. The Hounds came out hot in game 2 of this series with T.J Bennett and Gabriel Noriega hitting back-to-back homeruns in the 1st inning. Winnipeg would answer back in the 2nd by putting up 5 runs. The Hounds added 1 run in the 5th on an RBI single by Connor Bagnieski to cut into the Winnipeg lead. However, this would not be enough as Winnipeg would go on to win 63. Brady Kais threw 3 scoreless innings in relief, while Connor Bagnieski led the offensive attack with 2 hits. In the series finale the DockHounds once again came out swinging. The Hounds would take an early 3-0 in the 2nd after an RBI double by Gio Brusa followed by a 2-run home run by Lamar Briggs. Winnipeg would score 1 run in the 3rd and 1 run in the 5th to cut the Dockhound lead to 1. The DockHounds would increase their lead in the 6th following Lamar Briggs solo home run, his 2nd of the game. Winnipeg would regain the lead in the 9th setting the stage for a dramatic finish. Down to their final out the DockHounds would load the bases bringing Daikan Yoh to the plate. Yoh would proceed to hit a 2-run single to center field to walk it off for the Hounds. Mei Mei Cheng would get the no decision after throwing 5.1 innings on the mound. The DockHound offense was led by Lamar Briggs who finished with 3 hits, 2 of which leaving the yard, and tallying 3 RBI’s.
