In game 1 of the 3 game series against the Monarchs, Gio Brusa led the team offensively, going 3 for 4 with an RBI. Tristen Caranza added 2 more hits while T.J. Bennett hit a 3-run homerun. Gio Brusa led the DockHounds offensively going 4 for 4 with 5 RBIs, hitting 2 homeruns. Francisco Jimenez got the win on the mound, going 5 innings and striking out 4. Matt Valin and Mitch Sparks combined to throw 4 shut out innings, striking out 7 in the win. Jake Snider went 1 for 3 with 1 RBI and a homerun. Aaron Takacs went 1 for 3 with an RBI double.
