LAUNCH EVENT REVIEW The inaugural MEDEXPO Saudi Arabia exhibition, held under the patronage of the Saudi Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Rabeeah, successfully concluded on June 20th at the Jeddah Centre for Forums and Events.

MEDEXPO Saudi Arabia, dmgâ€™s new launch into the healthcare sector got off to a successful start with support from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health, Saudi Food & Drug Authority, Council of Cooperative Health Insurance, National Guard Health Affairs, Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and various Healthcare Associations. For the inaugural event, MEDEXPO turned out well with stand sales of 1955 sqm, and 152 companies from 22 countries participating. With 6 country pavilions, the international exhibitors accounted for 58% of the total number of companies exhibiting. Arranging visas for exhibitors and visitors to Saudi Arabia was not an easy task, and during build up the team was prepared for any last minute hiccups. However the major hurdle which was not anticipated was the death of the Saudi Crown Prince on the 16th June. With the show scheduled to start the next day, for a few hours
