JUDAIC STUDIES At DKJA, Jewish living, learning, and academic achievement permeate the entire educational experience. Connecting to Israel is an invaluable component of the DKJA curriculum. Students in upper grade levels have the opportunity to visit and study in our homeland, Israel. From the most ancient traditions and the wisdom of the Torah, to the learning of modern Hebrew as it is spoken in present-day Israel, the study and practice of what it means to be Jewish today begins in Kindergarten and continues through High School graduation. Students thus acquire a heightened awareness of Jewish heritage, culture, ethics, and values, so that Judaism becomes a relevant and natural part of their daily lives.

I AM DKJA At DKJA, the concept of tikkun olam is an integral part of my life. I am committed to preserving the environment, providing for the less fortunate, and bettering myself through DKJA’s Community Service program.

REPAIRING THE WORLD DKJA has introduced an exciting program to teach students of all grade levels about the deep interconnections between Judaism and environmentalism: Shomrei HaAdamah (Guardians of the Earth). The goal of this initiative is to sensitize the students of DKJA to their natural world and to foster an appreciation of the Earth’s connection to their Jewish practices and holidays. The initiative promotes healthy food choices, waste reduction, recycling, reduction of campus-wide energy usage, integrated pest management, gardening, composting, and school–supported agriculture to create an avid culture of environmental stewardship and Jewish eco-active leaders.

ACCREDITATIONS & AFFILIATIONS Donna Klein Jewish Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), and the Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC). DKJA is a participating member of the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE), the Jewish Community Day School Network (RAVSAK) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). DKJA is registered with the State of Florida and complies with all state and local regulations regarding standards of health, safety, and welfare of the students. The school follows the State of Florida Compulsory Attendance Laws.
