Welcome to the 11th Annual Taste of Hudson! TABLE OF CONTENTS

Taste of Hudson has raised over $290,000 for numerous charitable causes since 2005. With Akron Children’s Hospital’s School Health Services as our primary beneficiary again this year, Taste of Hudson, Inc. continues to help service the community, its families and our children. We are grateful for the fantastic support of our sponsors and all participants including the dozens of restaurants, exhibitors, artists, 300 volunteers and more than 35 different service-in-kind organizations which contribute to the success of The Taste. Altogether over 125 different participant organizations collaborate to make Taste of Hudson such a success. While at The Taste this weekend make sure to take in all of the sights, sounds and great food from 20 of the Hudson area’s finest restaurants. The Hudson culinary community is a big part of the resurgent foodie scene in NE Ohio and that talent is showcase at Taste of Hudson. Being one of Ohio’s largest free music festivals the Taste offers you the region’s finest bands from seven stages and nearly 60 performances. The very popular Katie the Car Lady Luxury Auto Show at The Taste features nearly 30 new model

vehicles and can be found on the beautiful bricked First Street in First & Main. Along with plenty of family and children’s activities located at Little Tikes Land on the Akron Children’s Hospital Activity Green and all of the inflatable fun and entertainment on the Primrose School Clocktower Green you’ll also find a wide variety of fun and excitement for people of all ages. Make sure to check out the Taste of Hudson Wine & Beer Garden, presented by One Red Door and Flip Side, located behind the Hudson Library & Historical Society. The wine & beer garden features wines from around the world and many crafted beers as well as great non-stop entertainment and fantastic food from Flip Side. Make plans to join the fun in the Wine & Beer Garden at a special concert featuring “Hard Day’s Night” Sunday evening, September 6th. Also returning this year is the 3rd annual “Race to The Taste” a 5K and Family Fun Run being held Monday morning at 8:30 with the start and finish on Village Way behind the library. Mayor William A. Currin Dear Visitors, As a proud sponsor of Taste of Hudson 2015, the Burton D. Morgan Foundation welcomes visitors to our community and to the treats of our region’s most creative chefs! This is a true celebration of the joys of food and all that Hudson has to offer as an exciting destination. The Burton D. Morgan Foundation, established in 1967 by entrepreneur and Hudson resident Burton D. Morgan, supports the Hudson community and serves as a champion of the entrepreneurial spirit across Northeast Ohio. Located on the Hudson Green, the Foundation provides financial and intellectual capital that contributes to the vibrancy of the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our grants support programs that help to launch, grow and expand new ventures, including food-based businesses. Adults, college students, and even grade schoolers are learning to develop, produce, and sell unique food products bolstered by tailored mentoring and training programs. Lemonade Day NEO offers a great example of youth entrepreneurship, now reaching more than 2,000 elementary school students each year as they learn how to sell sweet lemonade to customers! We hope you enjoy Hudson and all its many delights during your visit. Please also visit our website at www.bdmorganfdn.org to learn more about the Foundation’s work in our region.

Local People Bringing you Local News

Acquired in 1978 as the Hudson Times from Old Trail Press and The Lindsey Press, the Hudson Hub-Times keeps readers informed of the latest developments in Hudson every Sunday and Wednesday. With features on local citizens and news about the latest city council meetings, people will always know what is happening in Hudson. They can read about city council plans for the community’s trails and sidewalks or find out which events are at the annual Taste of Hudson. News about the Hudson City School District, which is ranked among the best in Ohio, is also prominent in the paper. If residents are interested in what others in the community think, they can read letters to the editor or the “My Turns’ in the “Opinion” section. There is also a chance for people to voice their thoughts on the question of the week.

For people interested in talking with editor Andrew Adam directly, they can have coffee and discussion with him the first Tuesday of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. at Yours Truly Restaurant, 36 South Main Street in Hudson or call him at 330-541-9427. The website, www.hudsonhubtimes.com, continuingly offers updates on local and national news stories throughout the week. The paper and its staff - which includes Tim Troglen, Laura Freeman, Dorothy Markulis and Stephanie Fellenstein - are also very active on Facebook and Twitter, so like or follow them for all the latest local news. For all marketing opportunities, call Alex Douvis at 330-541-9409 or email adouvis@recordpub.com.

Taste of Hudson is the ultimate destination for kids of ALL ages, including the young families with toddlers, adolescents, ‘tweeners and teens! Don’t leave the kids at home, because there is plenty to keep them busy for hours at Taste of Hudson. The festival is easy to navigate and stroller-friendly, and we love kids! We have made our mark as a great festival for everyone and we certainly don’t neglect the kids! There are two major areas where you can find the kids activities and attractions. The Primrose Clocktower Green, located across from the Main Street Shops on the green where Hudson’s iconic Clocktower is located AND The Akron Children’s Activity Green featuring Little Tikes Land. Following is the schedule of activities planned in these two areas for this year’s Taste of Hudson.
