PUTTING PEOPLE FIRST Founded by Louise Hewett in 1980, Hewett Recruitment will soon be celebrating its 40th anniversary. In this issue of BD, Ben Mannion and Laura Hewett, directors of the company, provide insights into the award-winning company and explain why their business mantra is to put people first. Originally founded as a recruitment agency providing temporary workers to businesses around the region, in response to customer need, Hewett Recruitment soon developed to provide permanent recruitment services too. Today, the company specialises in engineering, IT, Industrial, commercial and executive recruitment, in addition to continuing to place contractors

and temporary workers with local companies. Over the last ten years, their IT and engineering division has grown particularly significantly, with each new technological breakthrough heralding the need for more specialists in related disciplines.
