ABOUT ANNA DI STASI Anna advises private and institutional collectors in the United States, Latin America, and Europe on the acquisition of contemporary art. A former Specialist at Christie’s Latin American Paintings Department, she has over thirteen years of experience evaluating, researching, and pricing contemporary and Latin American art. Anna holds a Masters in the History of Art and Archeology from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University and a second Masters in Modern Art, Connoisseurship, and the History of the Art Market from Christie’s Education, NY. She graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Psychology. Her curated art travel tours have been featured on The New York Times, W Magazine, The Financial Times and other leading publications. She has lectured on emerging art markets and Latin American art at Christie’s and contemporary art conferences. Anna Di Stasi Latin Contemporary, partner

A native of Madrid, she is fluent in English and Spanish and literate in French and Portuguese. Anna is a member of the Appraisers Association of America, ArtTable: The Leadership Organization for Professional Women in the Visual Arts, and Christie’s Alumni Association, NY.

Any questions should be directed to BrazilFoundation and Latin Contemporary. Terms and conditions governing the sale of all the property offered at BrazilFoundation Benefit auction: 1. (a) Neither BrazilFoundation nor Latin Contemporary assume any risk, liability or responsibility for the authenticity of the authorship of any property offered at this auction (that is, the identity of the creator or the period, culture, source or origin, as the case may be, with which the creation of any property is identified). BrazilFoundation reserves the right to reject a bid from any bidder. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, Latin Contemporary’s sale records shall be conclusive in all respects. 4. If the auctioneer determines that any opening bid is not commensurate with the value of the article offered, s/he may reject the same and withdraw the article from sale, and if, having acknowledged an opening bid, s/he decides that any advance thereafter is insufficient, s/he may reject the advance. 5. On the fall of the auctioneer’s hammer, the highest bidder shall be deemed to have purchased the offered lot subject to all of the conditions set forth herein and thereupon (a) assumes the risk and responsibility thereof

(including without limitation damage to frames or glass covering the prints), (b) will sign a confirmation of purchase thereof, and (c) will pay the full purchase price therefor or such part as BrazilFoundation may require. All property shall be removed from Artefacto premises by the purchaser at his/her expense immediately after purchase and payment on December 6 and, if not so removed, will be sent by BrazilFoundation at the expense of the purchaser, to a public warehouse for the account, risk, and expense of the purchaser and such added charges will then be added to the purchase price of the object. If the foregoing conditions and other applicable conditions are not complied with, in addition to other remedies available to BrazilFoundation by law, including, without limitation, the right to hold the purchaser liable for the bid price, BrazilFoundation at their option, may either (a) cancel the sale, or (b) resell the property on three days notice to the purchaser and for the account and risk of the purchaser, either publicly or privately, and in such event the purchaser shall be liable for payment of any deficiency, all other charges due hereunder, and incidental damages. 6. Make all checks payable to “BrazilFoundation.” 7. In the case of order bids or bids transmitted by telephone, neither BrazilFoundation nor Latin Contemporary is responsible for any errors or omissions in connection with such bids.


BRAZILFOUNDATION BENEFIT AUCTION GUIDELINES WRITTEN BIDS • If you are unable to attend the December 6 live auction, you may give instructions for Latin Contemporary | art advisors to bid on your behalf by completing and forwarding the form on reverse. This service is free and confidential. • Please record accurately the lot numbers indicated in this catalogue, title, and description, and the top price you are willing to pay for each lot. • We will try to purchase your choice for the lowest price possible and never more than the maximum bid amount you have authorized. “Buy” or unlimited bids will not be accepted. • Alternative bids can be placed by using the word “OR” between lot information. In that case if your bid on an early lot is successful, we will not continue to bid on other lots for you. If your early bids are unsuccessful, we will continue to execute bids for alternative lots until a bid is successful. • The following form should be used for the December 6, 2013, BrazilFoundation Benefit Auction only. • Please place your bids as early as possible, as in the event of identical bids, the earliest bids received will take precedence. Bids must be received at least 24 hours before the auction. • Where appropriate, your bids will be rounded down to the nearest amount consistent with the auctioneer’s bidding increments. TELEPHONE BIDS • You may also bid by telephone in the December 6 auction. • Please complete the form on reverse, indicate in the bidding grid that you want to participate by telephone, and clearly specify the telephone number (including the country code) at which you may be reached at the time of the sale.You will be called from the salesroom shortly before your lot is offered.
