εφημερη κατοικηση The subject of this project is the design of a transportable and transformable house. This housing unit intrudes in the urban environment and goes up on the rooftops of the already existed architecture; it tangles the codes, it mixes temporarily and translates freely the traditional ideas on how can the public and private space be consisted. It is developing in places without spatial quality, in abandoned places of the city that are not acceptable or just ignored. It is based on a recycling exploitation of the space and its infrastructure. Its mobility is based not only on the transportation of the unit itself, but on the flexibility of its geometry as well. It is an experimental housing unit and it doesn’t address to massive housing or crisis situations and emergency. It is an industrial product so it belongs to the category of industrial design. From the start of this project there is an absolute objective of a creation of a network above the city and city to city for a temporary housing. This network is invisible but it can be identified. This housing unit is transportable, so it can be put on the rooftops, or in a suare, in a park or near the sea. Some of its interventions exist only in one specific place and under special conditions. Other can be fixed so as to function in different conditions and environments. Every action is ephemeral as from its identity it denies every permanent establishment. The basic idea of the design process is to create a shell made of fiberglass that can be shrinked and developed easily by a man’s force. This unit must function in all stages od its geometry and should serve all the basic needs of every user.
