The National Centre for Birds of Prey is the largest collection of these wonderful birds in the North of England. A Vast collection of owls, eagles, vultures, hawks, falcons and more are housed in spacious aviaries set within ancient oak woodland and rolling parkland. Our trained team of flying birds fly free for our visitors 3 times a day. Children and adults alike will enjoy watching the birds do what they do best. Different birds are flown on each demo. Please allow 2-3 hours - we are a big place! Picnickers are welcome - or the Owl House Cafe serves a selection of hot and cold snacks and meals. Access into the surrounding 300 acres of parkland is included and the parking is free. Located just 2 minutes drive (or 12 minutes walk) from the centre of Helmsley. The Moors National Park Centre Danby, Whitby, YO21 2NB On the outskirts of the pretty moorland village of Danby, a few miles south of the A171. A great day out for the family, from outdoor adventure play and mud kitchen, indoor climbing wall and children's events, to our acclaimed contemporary gallery, Inspired by....celebrating its 10th birthday, interactive indoor exhibits and sculpture trail. Situated on the cliff road from Bempton village, off the B1229 from Flamborough and Filey.

Home to 250,000 seabirds from April to October, including puffins and the UK’s largest seabird, the gannet. Six cliff-edge viewing platforms, three of them wheelchair accessible, give spectacular views. The Seabird Centre has information on the seabirds’ story, a gift shop plus food and drinks. Events take place throughout the year: children’s activities, guided walks and more. The nature reserve is also the perfect place for a picnic. RSPB Seabird Cruises sail from Bridlington during spring and summer.
