Welcome to Your March Issue. Mother’s Day on March 11th gives us all the opportunity to show mum just how much she means to us by showering her with hugs, kisses and gifts. This month’s issue includes some touching thoughts from our young contributor, Holly Jean, and what Mother’s Day means for her. We’re hoping that you also enjoy reading our section on Schools News, which brings together some of the ways in which our dear little ones are enjoying those “best days of their lives”. I don’t know why, but it brought to mind this gem from the American novelist, Peter De Vries – “A mother’s role is to deliver children obstetrically once, and then by car forever after”. This month, we’re delighted to feature local farmer, Nicholas Watts, and his fabulous conservation work in our area. The long established and highly successful Bourne firm, Johnsons Bourne Textiles Services, comes under the spotlight too, with some job vacancies which they need filling. This issue also contains many ways to help you make the most of the springtime, whether it’s inside or out in the garden, or maybe visiting Market Deeping’s Empire Gym or some of our eateries. That extra evening light, when the clocks go forward an hour on March 25th, will make us all feel that summer’s not too far away either. Enjoy the read!
