MENU FROM MATTHIAS WIDMER & HIS TEAM We are very pleased to welcome and pamper you and your guests. We deliberately hold a small but delicious Menu. Shaped from regional and local products, homemade „Pasta Costa D’Oro“ and beef from Dieter Meier and his Estancia in Argentina. Furthermore, our hosts are happy to recommend our seasonal special- and vegetable dishes, carefully selected from regional suppliers by our chef Matthias Widmer and his team.

Our History… Our „Brasserie Freilager“ is located in the former warehouses, which were founded in 1923, by the duty–free warehouse Albisrieden. In former days, duty unpaid goods were stored temporarily in today’s premises. The entire area has been declared as the Freilager area in 1926. The former warehouses were mainly used for storage of cars and goods of any kind. Between 2013 and 2016 the Zürich Freilager AG realized the present overbuilding – with a total of 90‘800 m2 rental space including 800 apartments of different price segments. For the realization of our restaurant, we had the companies architectural office Meili, Peter architects AG (Zurich), Alig industrial kitchen construction AG (Chur) and AllReal general contractor AG (Zurich) decisively involved.

OJO DE AGUA - Beef Our beef is being exclusively and directly imported to Switzerland from Dieter Meier’s Estancia „Ojo de Agua“, in Argentina. His premium beef is only available in our restaurants and in some exclusively picked bio butcheries.
