Introducing Banbury Paranormal The Dimension Group and GDUK had the great pleasure of being introduced to Banbury Paranormal, and you can find them on Facebook @banburyparanormal. They are a new, up and coming paranormal team, with lots of enthusiasm and a lot of exciting ideas. As we move through the rest of lockdown, GDUK will be working with them more and more. WIth their down to earth approach to the world of the paranormal, their ideas will bring excitement to the paranormal world. They are not like many of the other paranormal groups we have come across, they are down-to-earth, eager to learn and don't think that they know everything, and are on the same lines as ourselves, we can all learn from each other. But over the years we have found that many just want to outdo everyone, and some can't even think of their own ideas, copying everything that others do, this isn't going to work, so to come across Banbury Paranormal is like a breath of fresh air. Our next mission is to introduce them to the world of camera and we will be filming a new short film with them and this will include the Spirit Board, Spirit Box and The New Tracking System. We are looking forward to this and working with them in the coming months and years ahead.
Do Vampires Really Exist The traits of the modern vampire are set, demons going out at night to drink human blood, or feed on the blood of animals. You can't see the reflection in a mirror and they can be warded of with garlic or even killed with a stake through the heart. Many live in dark places and will only come out at night as the daylight will kill them. Now we have the idea of a vampire, but perhaps we have hold of the wrong stick and that the modern vampire is a figment of various traditions that evolved from Halloween monsters. Can the dead really harm us once they have passed over and been buried? Well... Many years ago, people did not understand the decomposition of the human body. As a corpse's skin shrinks, its teeth and fingernails can appear to have grown longer. As internal organs break down, a dark fluid can leak out of the nose and mouth, people who did not understand this could easily think that the fluid to be blood and suspect had been drinking from the living. Many people thought that Vampire was a disease and would have scare-fests for want a better word, to scare the vampires away. The strange thing, this was very common around the time of serious diseases, including the plague. So the killing of vampires was paramount as this would stop them from feeding and spreading disease around the world. In 1892, a 19-year-old girl died of Tuberculosis, back then known as Consumption. Her mother and sister had already died and her brother was sick. Neighbours were worried that one of the already dead was harming him from the grave. They decided to open the grave of his sister, the found blood in her mouth... they took out her heart and burnt it and then mixed the ash from the heart into a potion for the brother to drink. A very common anit-vampire tactic. The potion killed him several months later. This was not the only case, there were many cases of anti-vampire rituals during the 18-19th century. Coventry, The Hidden Depths Underneath Coventry lies a labyrinth of long-forgotten crypts, and there may be even more subterranean worlds waiting to be discovered. Somewhere under the bombed Cathedral lies many vaults, which at one time would have been accessible by huge slabs in the floor, but have long been lost when the cathedral was bombed during the blitz. When they built St Micheal's, believe it or not, it was built on the side of a slope and was built on the same level as the crypts, and after the bombing, lost for good... or are they? Experts believe that there are around 12 crypts in total, 3 already have been discovered. Moving over to the other side, the original monastery, destroyed by Henry VIII in around 1539, not because it was a Benedictine Priory, but because Coventry and Lichfield had two seats for one bishop, so one had to go. Before the Archeology department of Northampton University could uncover anything they had to remove 3,500 tons of soil and underneath was a carpet of burials. They removed around 1700 burials and bodies, many were intact and many stacked so mixing up body parts. There were many burials complete with the coffins still intact, all were moved, the same day. There were some surprises along the way, with one person being buried alive, their arms in a strange position like they had tried to escape. It is amazing at times, what lies underneath, the secrets that are hidden, buried deep in history and in the cobbles we walk today. There are many other stories about ancient Coventry, from people being buried upright just near the Slug & Lettuce to people being hung in secret in the Guild-Hall even holding Mary, Queen of Scots prisoner here. Just round the corner from the Guild Hall is the Herbert Art Gallery where there are strange going ons, from screams and cries to t doors that open and close by themselves. And if you want something a little more modern, a famous retail outlet is said to be haunted by a not-so-nice man, who makes people cry and has been known to push people... and one of the pubs is known to have dark shadows, glasses that fall of the bar for no reason, the people that have been pushed down the stairs, and the feeling of being watched and then just across the road, the screams, the bangs, the slamming of jail doors, the shadows that are seen walking around the bar and fridge doors that unlock themselves deep in the night.

Haunted England Birmingham Ghost Tour By Matthew Grange Ins.Ast
I was out in Birmingham with several things to do. There was a business meeting to attend, some still photography of Birmingham to complete and some promotional video footage to shoot. I arrived in Birmingham at about 12:00 noon and thought that I would complete the promotional video footage first. I started down near the BT Tower and was filming under one of the bridges working my way into the City Centre, my aim was to end up near the Sealife Centre. Well, I started to film underneath the BT Tower, and as I swung round to film the tunnel and the locks, something very strange and unexplainable happened. The Lock Gates began to Open all by itself, the gate swung open with such grace and ease it was quite amazing. There were no other people around, no boats in the lock, and the locks were full as well. There was no explination for this, and this happened in the middle of the day... Haunted England Haunted Woods By Matthew Grange Ins.Ast
We had the privilege of investigating in the haunted Teddy Bear Woods were we investigated into the early hours. It started of very quiet, but as the night moved on, we got more and more and we were getting a lot of activities on the dowsing rods. Our sensors were going off on demand and when we were using the EMF meters, they would respond on demand. Now the woods are quite famous, a body has been found in the woods and on the box we had a lady from what we gather was part of the Grand House at one time, we also had a little girl come through. So a very active night for the team.
How EMF Works
EMF stands for Electro-magnetic Frequency (EMF). Electromagnetic fields are everywhere, we cannot see them with the human eye. Electric fields are produced by the local build-up of electrical charges in the atmosphere. The earth's magnetic field will cause a compass needle to orient in a north-south direction. We use specialised electronic readers for measuring EMF and we will take base readings of the EMF. The base readings will be used for our interaction. So if the base reading was 1.2 gauss for example, then we would be looking at a reading higher than this, which then indicates that in our line of work, a spirit could be present or something has disturbed the EMF field around us. When using EMF meters, make sure there are no magnets near and mobile phones/pads/computers are all turned off.

Hauntings in Brief A woman in white is believed to is said to stalk the battlements at Corfe. She was executed for treason The spirit of Owain Glyndwr, a Welsh freedom fighter is said to haunt Corfe Castle along with a further five ghosts. People who have seen this figure say that he is around 7 feet tall and dressed in a leather jerkin. Floating lights, strange apparitions and skeletons found chained together in the dungeon, the man in green are all encounters at Dunster Castle in Somerset. Cold spots, the sound of footsteps, the smell of roses have all been reported at Ham House in Surrey. It is said that the sinister presence is that of a ruthless ambitious former occupant.
The Macabre Collection of Curios to Haunted Dolls We have a range of haunted dolls, clowns, bottles, tins and even have some original coffin nails. Dare you hold the artifacts, knowing that there is something attached, the nails that have been removed from coffins holding the bones of the dead... dare you? Perhaps you would like to hold our Voodoo Doll, or even our very own voodoo kit, with spells and potions. So my question would be, what makes a haunted object? Perhaps the object just holds onto energy, holding the memories of the person who owned it? Perhaps it was cared for or used and used to perform medical tasks, again, holding onto the energy, the pain, the agony that it has caused over the years of use. Would you really want to come face to face with a doll, a doll that is possed, a doll that moves on its own, a doll that fell of a shelf one night, and found dead on the floor, with a broken neck. Did she really have enough, or was there something more to it that we don't know about... Many people become aprehensive to say the least when we bring some of our haunted objects out. People automatically think the worst and this is before we tell them anything. Is it the fact, that they are old, haggard looking, not cared for look or is it the fact that they could be haunted and it is the not knowing that makes them seem, somewhat scary. If we turned the tables, then perhaps we would bring out a new doll, would this have the same effect, would you still be scared, apprehensive or otherwise.

So, what is it about this particular property that has so many people talking about it? Let’s find out. With so many people claiming this place to be haunted by child ghosts and demons, I wanted to find out more. I needed to find out for sure if these claims of hauntings at the property were real. The house is not that far from mine and is easily got to on foot. I decided to take a stroll to the property and take some photos of the front and back in the hopes of capturing something on camera. Why do this you ask? Well, I can explain this quite easily for you. The many claims of this place being haunted caught my attention. I wanted to see if these claims were true without going inside due to the current situation. Understandably, many people are left feeling unnerved after being told the property has a history that is attached to an old funeral home. Personally, I didn’t at first see what all the fuss was about.I didn’t findanything remotely creepy about this place but reading the many claims of paranormal occurrences are quite fascinating. Multiple visitors to the property claim to notice extremely offensive odours emanating from seemingly nowhere. These foul smells have reportedly had some visitors vomiting in response to them. Now, this is the best part! I have read that many people who live near the property have called the police after reportedly seeing the faces of children in the windows. Apparently, this alarmed the neighbours enough to call the police as they say they had concerns of ghost children being tormented by demons. I needed to find out more about these claims. I found that the only way I was going to obtain this information, was to go straight to the police with my ‘unusual’ question. I decided the best way to get the answers I needed for my next book was to make a freedom of information request to the police in the area. I did exactly that and the response I got back was very informative. There is so much more to learn about the paranormal world and the different subjects. I wanted to include some detail the public has never been told before as there is no record of it anywhere but my book and the original way the information was sent to me by the police. In Search of the Black Eyed Children, Cannock Chase The reportings of the Black Eyed children within Cannock Chase go back over 30 years, which set of a world-wide interest. Children with sunken eyes, coal-black eye sockets have been seen and investigated by leading paranormal experts. This time, it is going to be The Dimension Group and GD:UK investigating. We will be taking a lot of equipment, our medium will be on site to give his opinion and all this will be documented on film. Within the woods, screams are heard, shadows are seen and the sight of a spectre walking through the trees. The strange thing about Cannock Chase is that these images are seen night and day, unlike the other sightings around the world, which have only ever been reported at night. Cannock Chase, the sightings of the children is one of the earliest parts of the county that was occupied by humans. There has been so much activity here, we cannot wait to go, said the team leader of GD:UK. But we must invesitgate for the facts, we have to put some of the information of sightings to the back of our minds. The problem with investigating sites like this is that there are many stories told, stories that have more stories added making the facts disappear into the background. But, whatever the case, we are there to document everything and discuss this deep into the night. There have been many other strange reportings around Cannock Chase from the sightings of Big Foort, Black Panthers, Strange Lights, Aliens, and people have reported UFOs. Around the Castle Ring, this thought to be a pagan burial site and experts believe that the dead would have been buried just outside the circle. One of the many questions that have been raised is that is this ring, the doorway into another world, where the black-eyed children come and go. If you look at the research that is being done on Bigfoot, which follows most of the same principles of ghost hunting, and we still have not yet found bigfoot, but if this is the case of a doorway, this would explain the disappearance of big foot and why we do not always see these children.

Lifting Restrictions & Ghost Tours
As throughout lockdown, we have always followed the guidance from the Government. When we have been out, masks, distance, and every thing else has been kept. In fact we havent actually been out with anyone since the first lockdown. We have now taken the decision that this information is great, but we have managed to go this far, so we have moved our first tours to the end of October just to be completely safe, and that way, those who can have the covid19 vaccines will be upto date, keeping our guests, staff and crew members safe. The Stone Tape Theory The Stone Tape Theory is the speculation that ghosts and hauntings are analogue and that the mental impressions can be projected in the form of energy, which is then 'recorded' into rocks, buildings, bricks etc, and then when the conditions are correct, these are replayed. If the Stone Tape Theory is true, then everyone who experiences this type of haunting will see the exact same thing, the only thing here is that they will interpret slightly differently to the next person. A Stone Tape Haunting is not an intelligent haunting, because this type of haunting is a haunting that is replayed over and over again, and no interaction with the haunting can ever be had. An intelligent haunting is a haunting that can interact with what we are asking or doing...
THE STONE TAPE THEORY There have been many ideas of the Stone Tape Theory, many have had different names, but all point in the same direction. HH Price a professor of logic at Oxford University suggested that ghosts are not really supernatural beings but are instead traces that result from emotions or experiences of former inhabitants of a place, much as fingerprints result automatically from our handling of a poker or wine glass. Price also said it could be 'delayed telepathy' when describing the replay of the place-memory. If the building does hold onto the memories, and this is replayed over and over and over again, does this mean that the energy of the recording will eventually disappear? When we create energy, at some point the energy we create either gets used or disappears, if this is so then the building will become not haunted, and we may assume that everything has ended.
