Southerleigh serves Chef Jeff Balfour’s modern take on Texas cross-cultural cuisine and the on-premise brewery offers a rotating array of original recipe, craft batch beers from Brewer Les Locke.

Part of the beautiful and historic Hotel Emma, Supper serves what’s in season under the watchful eye of Chef John Brand. His approach is straightforward and creative, guided by flavor. Tip: Try the lamb stew.

Nestled between the Hotel Emma and Sandbar, Blue Box is a great stop for a late night drink. Enjoy infusions and herbal mixes to complement spirits. They also have plenty of craft and domestic beers available and some nice Argentinian and California wines.

STERNEWIRTH’S

Hotel Emma’s remarkable bar was beautifully renovated with creatively designed cozy spaces. The stairs above the bar recall the once active brewery and its inner workings. Try the Professor McGonagall, a delicious take on the Moscow Mule with a myriad of refreshing flavors or peruse the leather-bound drink menus to select a signature cocktail, like the Three Emmas, named after the wife and two nurses of the original founder of the Pearl brewery.

STAY GOLDEN SOCIAL HOUSE

Enjoy a relaxed setting with large outdoor patio. Game of Thrones-inspired cocktails are popular at this laid-back favorite among locals.

Buzzy coffeehouse offers a changing selection of locally roasted brews in an intimate, industrial-chic setting. The popular coffee house is great for quick refreshments.

ONE LUCKY DUCK

Offers pressed and made-to-order juices, shakes and salads as well as various other chef driven menu items from Pure Food and Wine in NYC.

LICK HONEST ICE CREAMS

Inspired by Texas flavors and committed to sustainability, Lick uses only local, seasonal and wholesome ingredients to make their artisanal ice creams. All of the milk and cream comes from a local family-owned dairy and everything is made by hand. 

LARDER

It’s a South Texas food store with a dash of Euro-sophistication where Hotel Emma guests and locals alike stock up on life’s culinary luxuries or simply enjoy a glass of wine and quick meal – salads, sandwiches and soups – on the patio or seated in the pretty bistro-style shop. Just north of the Pearl, a quaint coffee house at 602 W. French Place currently resides within the original carriage house to the historic Frost Bank mansion, constructed around 1910. ​Situated in the Alta Vista/Monte Vista neighborhoods, PRESS Coffee serves as a creative hub for neighbors, professionals, artists and students. The coffee house supports many local Texas products like: White Elephant Coffee Co. (San Antonio), Amaya Roasting Co. (Houston), Mill King Farms Milk (McGregor), Zhi Tea (Austin) and Buddha’s Brew Kombucha (Austin).  Bakery Lorraine and C’est La Vie Bakery provide fresh pastries daily.
