In early 2018, Digital Ambiance collaborated with Fisher Marantz Stone to create the animated facade lighting for the new Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City. The design featured a series of illuminated waves along the inner facade of the U-shaped courtyard, reflecting the seasonal mood of the casino. A 40 ft tall illuminated guitar with pixel-mapped strings served as the centerpiece, programmed with audio-reactive looks. Custom electrical and communication systems were designed to meet UL Field inspection requirements, ensuring safety and quality. Custom-made addressable LED strips were created to fit the project’s specifications, and the installation successfully passed the UL Listing process. The project received recognition in 2020 from the SF Lux Awards for Lighting Control Innovation and Outdoor Lighting Design, showcasing Digital Ambiance’s expertise in bringing complex lighting features to life.
