HOW KEEGAN BRADLEY WON

Keegan Bradley rallied from three strokes behind with a 64 in the final round and defeated Justin Rose on the first playoff hole at Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia. The finish was delayed until Monday after Sunday play was washed out by heavy rains, with considerable work needed by the grounds staff on Monday to enable the fourth round. Soft conditions throughout the week led to low scoring, with Bradley and Rose both finishing at 20-under 260. Bradley had four birdies in a five-hole stretch starting at No. 5 in the final round for a 31 on the front nine. He added birdies on Nos. 14, 16 and 17, but bogeyed the 18th after a bad drive and waited for others to finish. Rose had an identical finish of birdies on 16 and 17 and a bogey at 18, giving the 54-hole leader a 67 and setting up a playoff. Rose missed a five-foot par putt on the first extra hole, giving Bradley his first win in six years. X X Bradley led the field with 28 birdies, including eight each in 64s in the second and fourth rounds. X X Bradley was first in Strokes Gained: Putting at 1.790 per round and Putts Per Round (27.25). X X Bradley made eight putts of longer than 15 feet, including four in the final round. He didn’t have a three-putt in the tournament. PGA TOUR ESSENTIAL GUIDE 2019, Part 2  209
