X At 24 years, 8 months and 18 days, DeChambeau became the fourth youngest winner of the Memorial Tournament presented by Nationwide. Hideki Matsuyama was 22 years, 3 months and 7 days when he won in 2014, and Tiger Woods was younger in 1999 and 2000. X Patrick Cantlay aced the eighth hole in the third round and ultimately finished one stroke out of a playoff. If he had won, he would have

joined Kenny Perry (1991), Jim Furyk (2002) and Steve Stricker (2011) as players making a hole-in-one on the way to a Memorial victory since 1983. X For the third time in four years, the winning score was 15-under 273. David Lingmerth (2015) and William McGirt (2016) also posted that total while Jason Dufner won at 275 in 2017.

Tournament host Jack Nicklaus congratulated Bryson DeChambeau after the 24-year-old became the fourth youngest winner of the event.

Renovations over the past decade have made the finishing stretch one of the most arduous in golf. The par-3 16th was redesigned with a pond guarding the front and left of the green, the long par-4 17th was given new fairway bunkers and a new tee was built on the dogleg right par-4 18th stretching it to 484 yards.
