Location & Course Information

Wyndham Championship

SEDGEFIELD COUNTRY CLUB, GREENSBORO, N.C. Founded in 1926, Sedgefield’s course was designed by Donald Ross and first hosted the PGA TOUR in 1938. After a 31-year absence, the Wyndham Championship returned in 2008 after a restoration by architect Kris Spence. Yardage: 7,131; par 70

Notable Course Features

Jim Herman’s red-hot weekend (61-63) in the TOUR’s regularseason finale in Greensboro, N.C., not only landed him his third PGA TOUR victory, but also vaulted him into the FedExCup Playoffs.

The toughest hole at the Wyndham Championship is the 507-yard 18th, a par 5 for members that plays as a par 4 for the event. The tee shot is downhill, leaving a difficult uphill approach off a downhill lie to a green with a significant back-to-front slope.

“I guess whenever you win, you never really truly expect it.” – Jim Herman
