HOW JUSTIN THOMAS WON Justin Thomas stormed from four strokes back to win by three with a final-round 5-under 65. Thomas grabbed the lead with a 31 on the front nine, then fell into a five-way tie for first when he bogeyed the 12th hole. Daniel Berger and Tom Lewis had hot rounds going, but each made a late bogey to drop out of the lead, while 54-hole leader Brendon Todd bogeyed four of the last six holes. That left it to Thomas and defending champion Brooks Koepka. Thomas assumed command with birdies on 15 and 16, recovering from wild drives on both holes. Koepka birdied the 13th, fell two behind with a bogey on 16, recovered with a birdie on 17, then drove into the water on the final hole to end up T2 with Berger, Lewis and Phil Mickelson.  Thomas shot 31 on the back nine for a 66 in the third round and followed by shooting 31 on the front nine of the final round on the way to a 65.  Thomas ranked 55th in Strokes Gained: Putting at -.470 strokes per round. He made up for it by ranking first in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green (3.275 per round). He was second in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green (1.917 per round) and fourth in Stokes Gained: Around the Green (.782 per round). W W W.P GAT OUR.COM
