Transition Assistance Program (TAP) workshop Learn how to transition from the military to civilian life with ease at this workshop May 15-18. The first three days are 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; the fourth day is from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Spouse employment/scholarship orientation Learn about free resources and services available, i.e. employment, resumes, local job market, scholarships and more at this orientation on May 16, 10-11:30 a.m.
Building, maintaining & repairing credit This free guided tour of Charleston’s historic district, Isle of Palms and Ft. Moultrie on May 2, 8:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., is for recently arrived military and their family members. Lunch will be on your own.
VA workshop for disability compensation claims At these workshops on May 4 or 11, 8 a.m. - 1 p.m., a VA representative covers the entire claims process and what it takes to file. VA 1-on-1 Disability Claims Assistance
Whether you want to build, maintain or fix your credit and credit score, you should register for this class on May 16, 2:30-4 p.m. During this 90-minute session, every aspect of the credit report and credit scoring will be covered.
Troops to Teachers On May 17, 12:30-1:45 p.m., counseling and assistance to help eligible veterans & their spouses transition into a teaching career. Items discussed include certification requirements, routes to state certification and employment leads.
