Tinción Argéntica amino-cúprico Born in Mexico City, D. F. in 1960. Pharmaceutical Chemistry Biologist’s degree from the Faculty of Higher-Cuautitlán the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1983. He completed the Master of Science in Cell Biology Cinvestav of 1985-1987. He obtained his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology of CINVESTAV in l990. Postdoctoral studies conducted at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri, USA from 1990 to 1995. He has taught undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in Universities, Colleges and National Research Centers and abroad.

GFAP-DAPI for the Use and Care of Laboratory Animals, the Cinvestav. He has been Secretary for Planning, CINVESTAV. He was Director of Research CONACyT was Technical Secretary of the SEP-CONACYT Fund. Level 3C is Researcher, Department of Molecular Biomedicine. He has participated in forums of Science and Technology Policy of the Country, National and International. He has been Head of Delegation, representing Mexico at the Meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol in 2006. He served as Executive Secretary of the Interministerial Commission on Biosafety of Genetically Modified Organisms (CIBIOGEM) with level of Assistant Secretary of State appointment of the Executive Branch to coordinate the SEP, HEALTH, SAGARPA, SEMARNAT, ECONOMY, SHCP and CONACyT on Biosafety of GMOs.

He has also published 25 scientific articles in international magazines, with over 1700 citations to their work.

His research interests are: Molecular Biology of neurodegenerative diseases, Transgenic animal models and knock-outs of neurological diseases, Genomic Analysis and genomic susceptibility in the development of neurodegenerative diseases and the generation of new molecular markers in embryonic development and neronal.

Published 3 book chapters and several popular articles.

Laboratory

Has graduated 10 graduates, 23 Masters of Science and 11 PhDs.

He has given over 150 lectures at national and international forums, such as Australia, France, Spain, USA, Canada, Venezuela, Uruguay, Chile, Malaysia, Hawaii, Argentina, Vietnam, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Brazil and Colombia . It’s National Researcher Level II of the National System of Researchers.
